Mediterranean Hostel Barcelona

Fue una linda experiencia, sabiendo que es mi primera experiencia en un hostal. El personal es muy amable y el desayuno es muy bueno en comparación con el precio. Los baños son amplios y limpios. Todo el equipo de cocina necesario está disponible en la cocina. No hay duda de que volveré si vengo a Barcelona.

Personal súper amable, bien ubicado, cerca del Mercadona, con una estación de metro a la vuelta de la esquina. Limpio y con buen estilo y arte. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Bien ubicado con buses y metro. Personal muy amable. Las hab tienen un gran locker, pero vos tenes que hacer y deshacer tu cama. No tienen baño dentro del cuarto, y hay menu casi a diario, a buen precio y rico lo que probe pero la cantidad es minima, si eres de buen comer.quedaras con hambre! Por unos pocos euros mas, cenas abundante fuera. Ofrecen desayuno gratis: cafe con leche, te, tostadas, cereales, mantequilla y mermeladas… eso es super bueno NO hay llave/ tarj para abrir, todo es con una app pero es muy lenta para abrir al cuarto. Asique si andas sola, janas te olvides el celular dentro

Entrada/salida muy fácil. Siempre hay alguien con quien puedes hablar. Además de eso, me alojé en dos dormitorios diferentes de 10. Obtienes sábanas limpias que debes hacer tú mismo. El baño se limpiaba casi a diario, según recuerdo, y las habitaciones estaban completamente reservadas. Por supuesto, siempre hay gente que ronca o alguien a quien simplemente no le importa si te despiertas o no, ¡es un albergue! Pero estaba lo suficientemente limpio. Solo toma una máscara para dormir y algo para tus oídos.:) es fácil llegar a casa por la noche con el autobús nocturno. No robaron nada y también tienen café / té gratis y una cocina.

Pros: toalla gratis, candado gratis para las cosas y buena ubicación que era central en Barcelona.

Contras: demasiados para nombrarlos. El registro se realiza en línea, lo que puede parecer conveniente, pero las llaves se envían a través de un enlace, por lo que CUALQUIER PERSONA con ese enlace puede ingresar no solo al albergue, sino también a la habitación, lo que me parece un peligro para la seguridad. La limpieza del lugar era atroz, los mostradores del baño nunca se limpiaban y el baño a menudo no tenía papel higiénico. Me alojé por 4 noches y durante todo ese tiempo tuvieron operarios que entraron y pintaron los baños y las puertas, lo que significaba que estaba durmiendo entre vapores de pintura. Ofrecen un desayuno gratuito, que incluye café, té, cereales y tostadas. Sin embargo, el café era gris y sabía mal, tuve que tirarlo después de un sorbo. Dicen que tienen servicio de lavandería, eso es mentira, no lo tienen y te dirán que vayas por la calle. Lo peor de todo es que dicen que su horario de limpieza es de 12: 00 a 14: 30 y está publicado en todas partes del albergue. Sin embargo, TODAS las mañanas de mi estadía, las mucamas entraban entre las 9: 30 y las 10 a.m. Y barrían y encendían agresivamente todas las luces de la habitación y despertaban a todos. No dormí bien en todo el tiempo que estuve allí. Además, debe obtener su propia ropa de cama al hacer el registro de entrada y luego bajarla usted mismo para hacer el registro de salida. El personal fue increíblemente grosero cuando se mencionaron todos estos problemas y nos dijeron que nos quedáramos en otro lugar si no estábamos contentos, cuando les dijimos que no había ningún otro lugar donde quedarnos, esencialmente nos dijeron que estaba muy mal.

Durante mi tiempo en el albergue juvenil mediterráneo, las habitaciones eran preciosas y los otros huéspedes eran amables. El único inconveniente de nuestra estadía fue cuando me desperté con un bolso perdido y lo encontré en el fondo de la basura del ama de llaves. Tenga en cuenta que la única razón por la que lo encontré fue debido a un Apple AirTag que le había puesto antes. Los encargados de la casa vienen todas las mañanas a sacar la basura. Cuando se le preguntó sobre el bolso, el ama de llaves dijo que no lo había visto y luego le dijo a la recepción que la razón por la que buscó en la basura fue porque recordaba haber puesto un bolso negro allí. Le había dicho a la recepción que lo encontró en el baño (no llevo mi bolso al baño). Al explicar la situación a la recepción, explicó que ella ya había hablado con él al respecto. Digamos que nuestras historias no cuadraron.

Aparte de esto, gran estancia

A great place to stay. We had so much fun. The people were friendly and helped us with everything. The place was beautiful and the free pasta and beer pong night just rocked.

Definitely one of the best hostel to stay in Barcelona. Friendly staff, free breakfast, quite clean, have cheap dinner for 6€. Food very delicious!

El peor hostal en el que he estado. Una celebración del DIY: háztelo tú todo, venga. Para empezar, una hora tardamos en hacer el check-in, porque vivimos en la modernidad y no hay ni llaves, ni pulseras ni códigos: tienes que abrir tu habitación y la entrada desde tu móvil, a través de un link web que, por supuesto, te obliga a estar pendiente de que no se te apague el móvil o tengas algún problema, porque si no duermes en la calle. Como en Barcelona no suelen robar móviles, podemos estar tranquilos.

Tardamos una hora en que la chica nos hiciese el check-in porque, por supuesto, ese sistema es una mamarrachada que ni ella misma entendía y que no sabía solucionar.

Más DIY: te dan las sábanas al entrar y tienes que prepararte tú la cama, en unas literas modernistas de difícil acceso. Te dicen que al hacer check-out bajes las sábanas en una totebag a recepción, para reducirles al máximo su carga de trabajo. (Toalla no te dan, claro, tienes que “alquilarla” por 2 euritos.)

Todo mejora cuando ofrecen desayuno gratis, sí pero no: disfruta de unos Chocapics pasados y ya puedes ir a disfrutar la ciudad.

Duchas estropeadas, taquillas de metal, accesibilidad nula y dejadez del equipo… A las 10.00h tienes que irte, y con un cartelito pasivo-agresivo, sugieren que si sigues ahí a las 10.01 les das derecho a cargarte una noche más.

Pero si tengo que quedarme con algo, es con el sistema de desbloqueo en tu propio móvil, más propio de una prisión de alta seguridad. La digitalización no es la respuesta a todo, si se te queda la humanidad por el camino.

A futuros huéspedes también pueden darles de alta en la Seguridad Social, porque vaya, tenemos que hacerlo todo.

Lo bueno: que puedes dormir y no pasar frío.
Lo malo: todo lo demás.

Es el mejor hostel en el que he estado en mi vida. ¡Los que trabajan allí son muy serviciales y amables! Conozco el mejor lugar para visitar y ver de una manera muy amigable. Además, podrás tomar café y té cuando quieras. Además, puedes ir a donde quieras caminando desde el albergue, lo cual es una gran ventaja.

¡Seguro que me quedaré en el albergue en mi próximo viaje a Barcelona!

Hostal muy decente con buena ubicación y buen acceso al transporte local. El desayuno está incluido y el albergue es muy social. Los baños son mediocres, pero en general es un buen albergue para viajeros jóvenes que quieren salir de fiesta. El recorrido por los pubs cuesta 10 € y hay muchos asistentes a la fiesta en este albergue. Sólo una advertencia para todos los que prefieren la paz y la tranquilidad. ;)

I thought my experience here was good. The staff is friendly and informative about the area! However the first day I was their I had booked a bed for four nights. The day of my arrival they said the policy was 72 hours for cancelations. I had left the hostel early because they couldn't accommodate both my friend and I staying in the same room. They did give me. Refund for the final night but two days were not.

The spaces are clean enough. The dinning hall area can seat around 12 people if you want to use this space get their early it fulls up fast at night.

The TV room was nice, and I enjoyed sitting on the couch and painting.

Out of control of the hostel was guest Body order the 6bunk room was stale of old sweat. I think adding an air freshener would be worth while it was almost unbearable.

Finally I thought the room codes were a bit ridiculous, you can download an app to quicken this process. However if you don't you will need to enter in a xxx-xxxx-xxx 10 digit code each time. Which encouraged guest not closing the door fully because remember the code and or not leaving your phone in the room could be a costly mistake.

Uno de los mejores hostel que estuve! Personal muy amable, ofrecen desayuno gratuito, té y café las 24hs disponible gratis, ofrecen cena a precios accesibles, cocina y comedor muy cómodos, pudimos dejarnos nuestras mochilas guardas ya que llegamos antes y así pudimos salir a recorrer. Baños muy limpios. Nos encantó sin dudas volveríamos a alojarnos aquí.

Great place, really friendly staff and great people, have something on most nights, and if they don't they are very accommodating to organise it. Facilities were always very clean and check in and out was quick and simple.

Staff were nice and the location is really good! I met a lot of nice people and I had fun. They cook cheap and yummy dinner and do social events each night:)

However, the facilities were not good. Bathroom was basic, often there was no toilet paper and only one toilet. My room smelled funny and we had no air con. The showers didn’t have hot water (which was fine because I was too hot anyways). Could definitely be improved.

This hostel was so much fun! Great people and great location especially for the price. The city is so walkable from this location and there is 24/7 reception so they’re always giving recommendations. The only thing was the A/C was broken for half the nights but it was fixed for the other half. Great time and great people!

Very safe for female travelers, very clean, and open reception 24/7. Super close to metro and main attractions. Only gripe is the air conditioning wasn’t fixed the entire weekend

Stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful hostel. The staff were very welcoming, had excellent local knowledge, and were always around for a chat. The location is really convenient for walking or buses/metro and the layout of the hostel makes it really easy to chat with other residents. The bathrooms are basic but always clean. The social areas are great and and the meals provided by the hostel were fantastic and a great way to meet people. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Un service vraiment au top. Il y a des activités chaque soir entre les résidents une très bonne ambiance.

El peor hostal que puede existir, salí de fiesta y cuando llegue me habían robado todas mis pertenencias (gafas, gorras, sacos, cargador del celular) y no solo a mi, sino a mas personas en el hostal. Se hizo el respectivo llamado a la policía, pero no nos quisieron brindar los datos de las personas que nos hurtaron, debido a que por su mal comportamiento fueros botados del hostal. Le falta mucho a las personas que manejan el hostal, ser más humanos y tener corazón para ayudar.

Espectáculo de lugar, muy cómodo, amigable, instalaciones muy limpias y muy bien cuidadas. Las habitaciones muy cómodas. El servicio de recepción muy amable. Definitivamente lo súper recomiendo y volvería acá en otro paso por Barcelona.

Estuvimos tres amigos y yo pasando unos días, y la chica de la limpieza entraba cuando le daba la gana y te despertaba. Las camas como si durmieses en el suelo. No volvemos

Positive: very nice staff, location is good

Negative: the facilities are all very old, a lot is broken, there was probably no renovation done in the last decades. 10 beds in a room of approx 18 square meters, my socket was broken, room was super cold (except when they randomly turned on heating, then it was a Sauna until it got cold again). No real sheets for the blanket but just a cloth, hygenical questionable. The lockers are super loud, when touching those you have no choice but to wake up the whole room. The street is loud as well. Bathroom is quite disgusting, some mould on the showers. There was mostly only cold water and the shower runs for exactly 15 seconds until you have to push the button again.

I have stayed in many Hostels in Barcelona with similar high ratings but this one is a different world, many leagues below the others. Don't know how they got this rating but must be due to the staff who are all very lovely - such a shame that apparently none of the revenue is used to do the urgent renovations.

Decent place. We had issues with the window and water supply. Overall, Yeah hostel is way better.

Hostel well located in Barcelona, clean and very professional staff. The place has a good structure and the accommodation was very quiet. I recommend it to travelers.

Two friends and I came from the United States and stayed here for three nights and had a great experience.
The 24hour reception was perfect because we arrived really late on our plane and we were still able to check in.
Everybody staying in the Hostel was very friendly.
We especially liked the 4€ dinners cooked by Matias because they were affordable, delicious, and gave us a taste of traditional Spanish dishes.
We also enjoyed the warm personality of Astrid who was very welcoming and easy to talk to.

I recommended everyone staying here to stay for the 4€ dinner as I got to know the staff and the other people staying, and it tasted so good.
The party afterwards was well worth it too.

STAY HERE, it’s is worth it!

No había agua caliente para bañarse y por piso había solo un baño de damas, uno de caballeros y uno compartido. Cada habitación era de 10 personas. Al rededor de 30 personas con solo tres baños.no lo recomiendo.
Las camas muy incómodas para subir y bajar.

I can definitely recommend this place! Clean, friendly staff and I have met the best people from all over the world.

Buscaba un sitio para descansar y descubrí afortunadamente Mediterranean Youth Hostel y me encantó, todo genial pero lo que más valoro es el trato del chico que me atendió Felipe, muy correcto y amable me hizo sentir muy cómodo y eso es de agradecer siempre. Volveré y lo recomiendo sin dudas

Unos sin vergüenzas, con todo lo que está pasando con el coronavuris se niegan a devolvernos o hacernos un cambio en las fechas de reserva. Desde luego gente sin escrúpulo! Pesimos y una política nefasta! Pongo una estrella porque es lo mínimo, si pudiera les puntuaria en negativo, por falta de humanidad

The hostel is a great value for the price, it is clean and the kitchen is well-equipped. They offer you free coffee and cereals in the morning. The stuff is really friendly and helpful, they explain everything you would want to know. What is important to see, on which day yo should go (there are free openings in a lot of sightseengs) You can eat dinner for 4 Euro at the hostel, which is always worth it, because Matthias is a really good chef and he makes the food with a lot of love:) You can also go for pubcurls or nightout. It was a really fun place to sray at:) and you will have a chance to meet a lit of interesting and nice people if you choose this hostel. I highly recommend it.

No tiene cortinas las camas. No tiene sillas ni mesitas dentro del room para apoyar nada. Los lockers están dentro de la habitación en vez de en los pasillos para evitar el ruido. Una sola ducha muy chica por piso. Las sillas de la cocina son de plástico. No hay donde apoyar los jabones y shampoo en las duchas. Las escalera para subir a la cama es un caño doblado muy precario. La cama es de lata y hace ruido. No hay ventilación en ningún lado.

Ostello dedicato ai giovani, al suo interno si trovano due aree ricreative, nonché un terrazzo in cui si possono fare due chiacchiere.
Inoltre vi e la possibilità di cenare al suo interno, con piatti cucinati dallo staff, ed il tutto ad un prezzo veramente competitivo, inoltre lo staff offre servizi per organizzare serate nei vari locali, e se questo non basta hanno la chiave per la stanza che è impossibile da perdere im quanto è un braccialetto

Tremendo Hostel para disfrutar. La gente muy piola. Si andan por Barcelona no duden en parar en mediterranean. Buena comida y noche, sobre todo sentirme en casa con Matías.

I was inspired to choose this place. The people are very friendly, the portuguese guy from reception was always happy and ready to help you, the lockers were big enough for my big luggage and the location is very good. I recommand it if you wanna visit Barcelona!

Excelente atención por parte del personal! Te brindan ayuda y responden a todas las inquietudes o dudas que puedas tener. Habitaciones e instalaciones limpias. Excelente ambiente! Lo recomiendo y volvería a alojarme allí sin dudarlo.

10/10 amazing! This was my first hostel experience and I would have preferred it over a 5-star hotel as a solo traveler. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the opportunities they give you to experience Barcelona really left you with no excuses to to not have the best time possible. I will definitely be exclusively staying with Mediterranean Youth hostel from now on!

Muy simpáticos, llegue muy tarde y no se molestaron. Me indicaron muy amablemente donde encontrar un cajero, una zona de marcha y un kebap cerca.

Muy bien ubicado, con buenas comunicaciones tanto de bus como de metro, los recepcionistas son maravillosos.
Se duerme bastante bien, ofrecen salir de fiesta en grupo y cenas en el hostal. También hay cocina, nevera y zonas comunes.

The guy on the reception was not helpful and treating people differently. Overall the facility was not that clean and it was bit humid in the rooms. Some or i mean most power outlets in the room didn’t work. The location was great and close to the main attractions.

Easy check in and out process, great locations and prices. The staff was very accommodating and always willing to help.

Let me start saying that the folks there are awesome, they're really good cookers also. The location is great, really in downtown. The rooms are fine, but mine didn't had heating, I don't know why, cause' I was talking to a friend that were in another room and she had it. It's wasn't cold though. The bathrooms are not very good, they kind smell bad and the showers doesn't work so good as well. They need to put a little more effort on the infrastructure.

What an amazing stay I had plenty of space including the movie room coffee and food all day for free the staff is friendly bilingual and it's amazing:) pro tip the walking tour guides will beg for money at the end not so pleasant but still worth it

Ostello situato in buona posizione (vicino alla Metro Girona) e a meno di 1 km dalla Sagrada familla.
Personale cortese e disponibile.
La pulizia lascia a desiderare (sorpattutto dei bagni al secondo piano).
Altra Pecca è la presenza di un solo bagno per piano.
Comodi i servizi (dalla sala ristoro e cucina al biliardino)

Nice for the price we payed, we had a private room with a bathroom - the air conditioning worked just fine, the bed was also comfortable. If you do not wish to spend a lot of money on accommodation, this is a perfect place.

This is a professional hostel, they offer many activities, city and pub tours. The bathroom and toilets are clean, a locker belongs to each bed.

Hostal excelentemente ubicado, a una calle de un pequeño supermercado, con camas comodas, buena ubicacion, baños limpios, buena señal de wifi, y cocina completamente equipada. Ademas cuenta con sala de pool, tacataca, terraza y una sala de lectura y peliculas

I arrived in Barcelona, having lost my phone in the train station, and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind in helping me to recover it. I then enjoyed a week long stay:) Rooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable and it was fun to meet and get to know other travelers.

Great Hostel. The location is very convenient. The staff is the best. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Anthony and Adi in particular were Top Class!

Friendly staff with 24 hour reception desk, spacious lockers under the bunks to store your luggage. Nice common areas and they also provide walking tours of the cities and busses/metros to clubs

Everything is absolutely great. Front desk is extremely friendly, people are super nice, rooms are kept clean. My only issue is that you have to press the shower multiple times in order to get it to work. Not a huge issue, but I'm a really big shower person so that wad pretty detrimental for me.
