Montefusco Cycling Tours Barcelona, Girona, Costa Brava

Claudio's bikes are pristine condition and his tours are wonderful. I did a 3 day tour with and blew my expectations away every time. His rates are very reasonable and he is very familiar with all the routes. He tailors each route to cyclist ability and also makes sure everyone enjoys the ride.

5/5 experience! Communication and service were absolutelu great. The bikes that we rented were top notch and the attention and service Claudio personally provides are just amazing. We rented two bikes for 2 days to go in to the Montseny mountains. Truely AMAZING. Claudio gave us some advice on nice climbs and routes in the area. The Coll Formic was out of this world beautiful.

While Claudio certainly rents high quality bikes and provides good route options around Barcelona, unfortunately he treated me with utter disrespect. I took a fall while cycling and damaged the bar tape on the rental bike. At the end of the tour, I told him that I would pay for the damage. The price he quoted to me seemed high for bar tape replacement, so I asked for him to provide a receipt. He did indeed provide the receipt but also wrote the following messages to me: "If you think this is expensive, there is no doubt: you never went to a shop to replace a handlebar tape. Shame on you. " When I replied to say that he had been rude, he responded with: "I don't think that "shame on you" is that offensive. I don't know in what world you live. I see your lack of ability and care for the items also your lack of respect for the job of others. Disgusting. "

If you do decide to rent from Claudio, please be aware that he is pleasant when all goes smoothly but becomes rude very quickly and does not hesitate to insult customers.

Of course, I paid for the bar tape (it was more expensive than in Canada but I was satisfied when I saw the receipt from the mechanic). In the end, it wasn't about the price but rather the insulting way that he communicated.

Claudio is an exceptional cyclist (along with his other guide Miquel) who knows every back road, dirt road and small path in all of Catalonia. Not only that, he will become your FRIEND. He is SUPER responsive in planning, helps design perfect routes suited to YOU and is reliable at every step along the way. Be prepared for the cycling of a lifetime.

I rode with Claudio today to the top of El Dibadido. It was the last of three climbs and well worth the effort. Claudio was the perfect guide, he set the right pace for me not too hard but not too easy. Plenty of opportunities to stop for pictures. English was also great and easy to understand. I'll definitely ride with Claudio again next time we are back.

Claudio was a great guide, very reliable and well organized, also flexible and adjusted the tour according to our needs. The equipment he gave us was very good quality. We had lots of fun, highly recommendable!

What a great cycling experience I went through with Claudio who was genuinely a very kind, understanding and encouraging soul. I took the hills around Barcelona tour and it was really worth it. I am grateful to Claudio for his excellent company and would gladly go again with him. Claudio made my introductory cycling experience in Barcelona to be superb. Therefore, I highly recommend anyone to ride with Montefusco cycling!

My wife and I went on a 3.5 hour, 37-mile ride with Claudio, including two decent climbs and dozens of great views of Barcelona. I'm a novice cyclist; Claudio calibrated the ride to our capabilities, taking us on a route that included city, woods, and surrounding villages. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, though we can't wait to come back and try out some of his longer rides.

Claudio is the real deal. The bike and his tour were exactly as advertised. He is totally reliable and punctual. He is also a very nice guy. I would recommend his services without hesitation.

Couldn't recommend Montefusco enough. Was keen on a ride in a recent family visit to Barcelona and chose them based on recommendations online. No disapointment, Claudio arranged a great bike and Ernesto arranged an epic ride. Route was great - tailored to my ability and then some. Ernesto's super professional approach and tips was absolutely top notch. Bike was extremely well maintained, clean groupset and well tuned 105. Couldn't ask for more, I had high expectations - Ernesto and Claudio exceeded them big time. Keep up the good work guys.
