Nick Shattock-Ebro Carp & Cat Fishing

We recently returned from fishing and caught a lot of big fish. Recommend to everyone Nick tries very hard to make sure you catch a lot of big fish. We will definitely be back in a couple of months thanks Nick

Bad experience.

Pro's:
1/ we caught some nice fish.
2/ tent and sleeping bags were good.

Cons:
1/ the guide was not friendly towards us.
2/ He had less respect for the fish than we expected.
3/ Fishing gear wasn't that great, but sufficient
4/ He gets iritated really fast.
5/ Personal hygiene is non existing.
6/ does drugs 24/7.7/ Still owes us 20 euro for boulies.
8/ He doesnt know the days of the week, because we booked from thursday-sunday and he thought it was friday. And he had other clients coming over, so me and my mate had to go and had to book a new flight for 200euro each for his mistake and he didn't even care!

All things together: i would not recommend.

3 days fishing booked for 5 blokes! 2 of the 5 of us quit after just 1 days fishing due to the fishing guide giving all he's attention to peg 1 which the other 3 fellas fished! The 2 of us wer downstream in peg 2 & 3 had absolutely no help! Are swim was baited once in 24hrs whilst peg 1 baited morning day & early evening! An expensive package and I feel let down badly & would never return evan iff the trip was offered for free! Lovely couple & made welcome but after 2yr wait due to covid I'm left with a expensive bitter taste in my mouth! Could moan much more but will leave at this!

Good fishing, good food, good company, good Location. What else could you ask for?

After a few cancelled trips due to covid, I finally got to fulfil a lifelong dream and fish the ebro, and what a trip I had with plenty of beautiful fish to over 40lb, Nick and his family went out of there way to make this such a special trip and I can't thank them enough if your planning a trip to the ebro I highly recommed them and i will definitely be returning myself to fish with them again, many thanks

The river Ebro here has a lot of fishes, especially huge catfish and beauty common carps.
Every customer will be equipped with all necessary tackles and baits that are effective at this place. Just be ready to intensive workout while pulling a fish.

Nick is the king of fish we all know that and expect it. The real gem though is his wife Mandi, amazing hospitality. INCREDIBLE food, and clean rustic room that reminds you that you are in Spain! This is no regular hotel but a wonderful family home full of life and comfort. You forget you are a guest and feel apart of the family immediately! MUST BOOK HERE!

Nick is a top bloke and a great guide that absolutely knows his trade. He is definitely not a guide who sticks to just one favourite spot or area and will actively hunt out the best spots to get you on the fish, no matter what their mood or the state of the river. Highly recommended.

I've fished the Ebro with Nick 6 or 7 times in the last 10 years. …. His knowledge of the river is unbelievable and always got us into the fish. Brilliant guide and a decent bankside chef as well.we've had some great laughs over the years he's a top dude at an affordable price.highly recommended. Hope to be back soon
