Nonna’s Brunch

Este encantador lugar está situado detrás de la Basílica de Santa María del Mar. Nos topamos con él mientras exploramos la ciudad y quedamos gratamente sorprendidos. Disfrutamos de un delicioso pan de plátano, un refrescante café y un jugo prensado en frío. Es el lugar ideal para hacer una pausa y relajarse viendo pasar a la gente.

Se ofrecen platos saludables, muy bien presentados y deliciosos. Excelente ubicación frente a Santa María del Mar y una experiencia de brunch muy agradable con una fantástica selección de música para acompañar.

Absolutamente excelente para un sándwich de almuerzo ligero a mitad del día. El sándwich de pollo era etéreo y delicioso. A pasos de ser realmente fantástico.

So glad this brunch place opened right next to my apartment. There was plenty of space to sit even during prime brunch time, the service was fantastic and the food far exceeded my expectations! I got the eggplant burrata bowl and each component of the bowl was super flavorful in its own way- especially the eggplant. Coffee was also really good. We’ll definitely be back

Fabuloso lugar, ambiente muy agradable, admiten mascota, su personal es un encanto, sobra amabilidad, los desayunos exquisitos y su cafe cremoso bien preparado. Super recomendable y parada obligatoria para todos.

It's a cute spot in El Born for brunch and cakes with fair prices. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it.

Really tasty, prices a bit on a higher side (eggs royal ~13€, chocolate pancakes ~11€). Would have loved freshly squeezed juice instead of bottled one, but it was tasty nevertheless. Crew was friendly and very chill and laidback vibe. If looking for a good taste and quality- recommend!

This is a very homy and delicious option when you are roaming the streets of Barcelona. The food and service is awesome! Nonna really does know best!

No necesariamente tiene que ver el lugar, creo, o eso espero, y lo comparto para que estén atentos de sus alrededores y la gente que se sienta cerca, independientemente si se ven “confiables”.
Fuimos a este lugar un grupo de 5 personas, estábamos sentados hasta el fondo del restaurante, en una mesa que acomodaron una silla a la cabeza de la mesa que daba de espalda a otra mesa vacía.
El lugar estaba un tanto vacío, y en eso llegaron 3 personas, que justo se sentaron, o los sentaron, en la mesa de un lado, a pesar que nuestra 5ta silla estorbaba y había otras mesas disponibles (varias). En ese momento no pensamos nada, pero las personas se la pasaron secreteándose y de repente ‘tiraron’ la bolsa colgada en esa silla (de la nada, porque no pasaron en ese momento) y ‘amablemente’ nos ayudaron a levantarla.
No hay pasaron ni 5 minutos cuando estas personas se fueron del restaurante sin pedir nada. En este momento, todo estaba en orden en la bolsa, hasta que intentamos usar la tarjeta de crédito y no estaba, primero creímos haberla tirado, puesto en otra bolsa, etc.hasta que llegaron los textos para autorizar/declinar cargos de sumas altas de USD en plazas comerciales muy cerca de este restaurante.
Fue una acción muy bien orquestada pues no robaron toda la cartera, uno se daría cuenta de inmediato y cancelaría tarjetas, así que sigilosamente sacaron una sola tarjeta para evitar Justo esto, y poder usarla.

Que tiene que ver esto con el restaurante?

Para que los encargados y/o meseros estén atentos de situaciones y actitudes sospechosas de los comensales.

Irónicamente el menú de este lugar tiene una leyenda que dice “no more funny business”.

Petit bémol sur les tartines salées que j'attendais plus gourmandes vu les avis. Un peu déçue.

Excellent place for a snack. The coffee was fantastic and so was the falafel and the carrot cake. We were attended by a very friendly and smiling waiter and felt really welcome. The premises are also cosy and stylish and add to the overall pleasant mood. The prices are a bit on the higher end, but worth it as in terms of quality you get what you are paying for. We enjoyed both our time and the delicious food and can safely recommend this place to anyone looking for a break and good snack.

Ambiente muy agradable y muy buen trato, al lado de Santa María del Mar. Para brunch es ideal, está muy rico todo.

Stopped by Nonna’s for the first time for brunch on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice with lots of nice touches, and staff was friendly and genuine. Loved it! I’ll be back!

Gorgeous brunch spot in a great central location! Yummy vegan sandwiches and bagels. The PB&J bread exceeded the expectations. The juices are not homemade but delicious - definitely recommendable.

The Mushrooms and Egg on toast was one of the best breakfasts I've had. The coffee was also fantastic; I had a cortado and it was delicious. I could drink a dozen of those in a sitting.

This place is relatively new but so worth a visit. It’s clean, airy, and comfortable. The staff are super warm and helpful. The food and the coffee are delicious! Menu is available in Catalan and English.

A simply fabulous place with the perfect brunch. High quality coffee to sip in the wonderful area next to Santa Maria Del Mar.
Good services, recipes and the waiters was extremly kind and gentle.
Surely it is a must to discover for tourists or simply curious. Definitely one of the stops to save if you are visiting, vacationing or working in the city of Barcelona.
