Acabo de salir después de 3 noches, lo único bueno que tiene el hotel es la situación y el personal, habitaciones destrozadas, baño sucio toda la estancia, la comida lo peor, todos los días lo mismo, la carne de días Anteriores camuflada con salsa a los dos días, ninguna variedad y muy baja calidad, los mismos postres todos los días algunos ácidos ya, no volveré y no lo recomendaría jamás, no vale decir por lo que Pagas que esperas, mínimo de limpieza y variedad en la comida, pensarlo muy bien antes de venir a este hotel.

La recepción cuando llegamos no fue nada profesional y desagradable por parte del recepcionista que estaba allí esa noche, afortunadamente a la mañana siguiente nos encontramos con otra persona mucho más profesional, sonriente y que nos ayudó con nuestro problema de reserva.
Hay que mejorar puntos como la limpieza, el desayuno y aspectos técnicos de la habitación.
Sin embargo, el hotel tiene una ubicación ideal, cerca de las playas y del centro de Salou, a la vez que tranquilo. Y su azotea es magnífica.

Habitaciones limpias y espaciosas. Buen desayuno y cena. Aparcamiento cómodo a tres minutos a pie. La playa se encuentra a poca distancia (5 min). Puedes dar un paseo junto al mar. Los amantes de la fotografía tienen mucho trabajo por hacer).

Encantador hotel, actualizado a una habitación separada por 35 € extra la noche y valió la pena. La comida está bien, pero es igual todas las noches. Tienes que pagar extra por bebidas que no sean agua o café. Las críticas sobre la colina son ciertas. Es un asesino, pero soy una gran muchacha y lo logré todas las noches. Aunque probablemente moriría con el calor. Los bares locales son razonables y las tiendas de regalos están abiertas al trueque. El jacuzzi en la azotea es agradable y las vistas son fabulosas.

Bonito hotel para jóvenes y mayores. Mucha variedad para elegir en el desayuno, muy cerca de la playa y admite perros. Las tiendas y la calle principal están a 5 minutos. El personal de recepción fue amable y ayudó en lo que pudo. ¡Definitivamente regresaría allí!

Tuvimos unas estupendas vacaciones de 4 noches aquí como pareja, sinceramente, quedamos impresionados con este hotel. Habíamos reservado unas vacaciones de último minuto bastante económicas, así que no esperaba mucho, pero este hotel fue genial, aire acondicionado, nevera, 2 camas dobles, excelentes vistas, habitaciones.limpiado todos los días. Hay muchas tiendas y bares en la misma calle que el hotel y está a 5 minutos a pie de la avenida principal; el camino de regreso demora un poco más porque el hotel está en la cima de una pendiente. El personal era extremadamente agradable y muy servicial, no puedo criticarlos en absoluto. Reservamos media pensión, el desayuno era fantástico, con muchas opciones, té, café y zumos. La cena estuvo bien, no soy quisquillosa con la comida, así que realmente la disfruté, pero mi pareja no comió mucho en el servicio de cena, pero lo que comió le gustó.

Sin entretenimiento, mala organización para la mañana y la cena, el espacio es demasiado pequeño para acomodar a la gente, para ir a comer hay que hacer cola durante 20 minutos por la mañana y por la noche antes de poder comer, una de las acogidas muy MUY desagradables que impone mesas sobre nosotros cuando le dijimos que no estábamos nada cómodos en este lugar, ella no respeta a los turistas.decepcionada

Acostumbrados a Pierre et vacances, es obvio que los estándares no son los mismos en Francia que en España. Pagamos casi 720€ por una habitación para una semana, la limpieza está descuidada, las sábanas sin cambios, las juntas ennegrecidas, el filtro de la piscina debería limpiarse. La restauración no está a la altura del precio. Sobre todo porque si no has reservado media pensión con antelación, acabas pagando 66€/día/2 adultos +2 niños. Finalmente, afortunadamente no había visto la calidad del buffet. El aparcamiento no se puede reservar y siempre está lleno. ¡El sábado por la noche, tardé más de 2 horas en encontrar una plaza de aparcamiento! Una gran decepción.

A la llegada mi reserva no aparecía en el hotel a pesar de ya estar pagada al completo y todo previamente, el trato en recepción fue nefasto (lo único que me decían era que no me preocupara que ya estaba resuelto y que me fuera a utilizar las instalaciones) cuando volví a las 3 de la tarde a recoger la habitación otra vez el mismo problema además pillo el cambio de turno y me decían que o me cobraban una noche por adelantado que luego según ellos devolverían o me querían cobrar una fianza de 200€ sin saber aún en concepto de qué.
Además la limpieza de la habitación y de los ascensores principales deja mucho pero que mucho que desear.
Por lo demás bien habitaciones modernas y la ubicación del hotel muy buena. Desayuno repetitivo hay siempre lo mismo.

PÉSIMO SERVICIO. Lo único que se salva es la ubicación.
Nos tuvieron que cambiar la llave para entrar 3 veces porque no nos dejaba pasar a la habitación cuando llegábamos a la noche (completamente agotadas por haber ido a Portaventura).
El suelo (adjunto foto) abierto, más de una vez nos hemos hecho daño.
El baño se inunda tras ducharnos y creerme que después del primer día hemos tenido cuidado para que no pasara, pero es imposible, se sale el agua por todas partes y las juntas de la ducha… juzgarlo vosotros mismos, la puerta del baño se atasca porque el marco de la puerta también está salido.
Por último, hemos llegado al hotel y no estaba la habitación limpia, sin toallas y con la cama sin hacer (poniendo como excusa barata que le había pasado a más personas).
La solución que nos han dado a todo esto es darnos sabanas para hacer la cama nosotras (tras pagar 400 euros por 4 noches), toallas y activar por TERCERA VEZ la llave.
Hemos reclamado otra habitación y su respuesta ha sido que si se nos vuelve a desactivar la tarjeta, que volvamos y que lo siente mucho.
Lo único que consiguen con sus disculpas es esto, dejarlo publicado para que la gente tenga cuidado al venir aquí, porque no siempre son buenas experiencias.
Espero que les sirva para cuidar más a sus clientes porque es decepcionante.

Relación calidad-precio muy buena, las habitaciones muy limpias y cómodas el buffet tanto de desayuno como venas correcto y muy pendientes de reponer cuando se agotaba algo.

Well what can I say but this hotel is fantastic, honestly nothing bad to say at all!
Myself, my disabled mother and my two boys stayed here over October half term week and we loved every second.
The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. They made us all feel comfortable and welcome.
Paula in particular was amazing! Nothing was too much for her.
We had a wonderful family room on the 7th floor where we could see the sunrise one side of the balcony and the sunset on the other side. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels put out. It was very clean everyday.
Only one lift was working during our stay but we didn’t have to wait long for it to arrive.
The hot tubs were lovely and a beautiful view.
My sons enjoyed the pool no end and the entertainment was brilliant, Simon has a big shout out from us!
The food was excellent, lots of choice and something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the four cheese sauce at dinner. The dining staff were so friendly and when asked if something had peanuts in (my son is allergic) they checked twice for us to make sure.
Beaches near by, lots of ways to get to it. We used the buses a lot and we used a top up card to pay which made trips really easy. Only 5 mins on the bus to get to Salou.
We all very much enjoyed our stay and we would very much like to come back next year.

Awful cold food. Lifts not working all the time. Understaffed, rooms not very good. Leaky shower, warped floor in bedroom. Staff wonderful.

Absolutely excellent place to stay a bit noisy with tourists a difts always breaking down but a lovely place and friendly staff would highly recommend

Sin agua caliente, y cortes de suministro. Un solo ascensor que se rompía cada dos por tres. El otro ascensor roto. Perros ladrando por el pasillo, Cristales arreglados con cinta de embalar…en fin. Una pesadilla de hotel. Hoja de reclamaciones puesta, por supuesto.

Por dónde empezar, estuvimos un mes buscando y decidiendo que hotel elegir, solo nos vamos 5 días de vacaciones y queríamos pasarnolo estupendo. Las habitaciones geniales, todos los días nos limpiaban la habitación, toallas limpias, lo malo, el baño, una botadera de agua (eso lo leímos en las reseñas y no le dimos importancia) pero toda la noche sonando, la piscina era más para niños que para adultos, pequeña, poco profunda, las personas tomaban más el sol que disfrutar de la piscina. Los ascensores, creí que iba a morir cada vez que nos subíamos, viejos, vibraban mucho, se siente que te va a soltar en cualquier momento, huele a oxidado, pa' rematar nos tocó en el piso 6, hubo un vaso de calimocho en uno de ellos los 5 días que estuvimos.
La comida, podrían mejorarla, nada de variedad, con solo decir que solo iba a cenar y fue fruta, la pasta (espaguetis -macarrones) pasados de hechos, la carne (filetes de ternera - hamburguesas - pollo) seco, duro, necesitabas tener varios vasos de agua para pasar la comida, unas albóndigas que necesitabas una motosierra para poder cortarlas, la comida pésima, pero súper mal. Íbamos a coger todo incluido y fue un alivió no haberlo echo, por el precio nos parecía normal el hotel, pero la comida no tiene nombre, la verdad no volveríamos.

Hab. 106 Cama doble, a/c, caja fuerte, w.c completo y todo muy limpio. Hay dos playas a 5 min.a pie cada una. En la planta 8 hay una terraza con yacuzzi y unas vistas de aupa. Estuvimos en régimen de MP. En la planta -1 está el comedor que es de bufete libre. La verdad, en Octubre, con poca gente y unos precios más "comedidos", hemos estado los 4 días super bien.

Calificaría mi estancia como buena.
Empezaré con el tema limpieza donde la verdad que deja algo que desear, el primer día se notaba que la habitación no estaba completamente limpia y el 2 día encontramos una uña postiza en el suelo.
En cuanto a la comida, coincido con algunas opiniones en cuanto a la variedad baja, no obstante me parece que muchos de los platos estaban buenos, tanto en desayuno como en cena en mi caso.
Lo mejor del hotel es la situación y la piscina, los jacuzzis de arriba tienen el problema de que el número de hamacas es reducido pero las vistas y estar arriba es muy cómodo.
Lo peor del hotel sería el ascensor. No funciona correctamente y tuvimos que subir las maletas a mano. En los 4 días de estancia solo lo cogimos 1 vez.

Calidad/precio
Habitación con 2 camas de matrimonio, bastante comodas.
Desayuno correcto.
La limpieza mejorable

Maravillosa la elección Fuimos en el mes que más nos gusta para viajar septiembre. Repcionistas, Camareros/as, camareras de planta, equipo de cocina, espectáculo buen cantante, entretenimiento, socorrista, todos muy atentos y amables.
Hubo un día que fui mal educada, porque me molestó mucho que los espectáculos, el bingo etc, casi siempre se hablarán en inglés. En el hotel había gentes de distintas nacionalidades.
Siento que no empatizaran con todos, porque todos tenemos derecho a saber de qué se habla y no era así, porque solo se podía entender por señas y ni esas.
Por lo demás nos lo hemos pasado fenomenal, repetiríamos
Pese a ese problema (que deberían poner remedio en un futuro cercano), lo hemos pasado muy bien. Nos costó despedirnos y hemos hecho hasta amigos. Que quedan en nuestro recuerdo y en nuestro corazón.

Hemos estado en este hotel 5 noches a todo incluido y la experiencia a sido decepcionante, es cierto que el hotel no esta mal ubicado, aunque esta no esta lejos del centro ni de la playa son todo cuestas y no es muy agradable. Las habitaciones muy bien con dos camas dobles, el personal (excepto alguna de las camareras del desayuno) son todos muy amables y serviciales, el jacuzzi de la planta superior es muy bonito, pero solo hay dos con 8 hamacas, entonces se llena enseguida y lo malo que el bar solo habré algunos dias y por la tarde y encima no te entra el todo incluido, es decir que si quieres romar algo tienes que bajar a la cafetería, 7 plantas mas abajo. El desayuno muy bueno. Hasta ahi todo mas o menos bien, ahora empiezan los fallos, la comida y la cena es muy repetitiva, solo cambian 4 platos y encima hay muy poca variedad, los postres malisimos. Que en un hotel español el chico de animación no sepa hablar español, me parece muy fuerte. Aunque es cierto que el chico es muy simpatico, todo va dirigido a los de fuera. Y por ultimo los ascensores, de 6 dias 3 veces de estropeo alguno y eran bastante lentos, aunque no tuvimos demasiado problema en ese aspecto. El aparcamiento esta complicado,

Hôtel idéalement bien placé près de 3 plages et pas très loin du centre ville (attention à la côte au retour).

Néanmoins, contrairement à ce qui pourrait être précisé dans le descriptif de l'hôtel, il n'y a pas de parking. En pleine saison, il est très difficile voire impossible de se garer à côté (prenez votre mal en patience car il vous faudra tourner autour pendant de longues minutes pour trouver une place. Attention ça verbalise très rapidement! Je vous conseille de venir en train ou en avion car il y a des bus a côté qui vous permettront d'aller un peu n'importe où ; y compris Barcelone etc).

Autre point "noir", les ascenseurs. Il y en a que deux et ils sont panoramiques et assez anciens / capricieux (nous n'avons pas réussi à y rentrer a 4. Imaginez avec vos bagages si vous êtes dans les étages supérieurs).

Enfin, en ce qui concerne les chambres, le ménage est fait tous les jours! D'ailleurs, j' adresse une mention spéciale pour les femmes de ménage qui sont très gentilles et serviables.

Todo en general. Tuvimos que bajar 4 veces a recepción. La tarjeta electrónica no iba. Pésimo el personal recepción. La verdad en temporada alta ni que me lo regalen.

Très bien, propre et très bon accueil. Des activités dans l hôtel. Je recommande. Par contre proche de la mer fait quand même marcher un peu.

Not what we expected. Room was small for a family room, not enough storage space.

We paid for all inclusive we didnt get that. Meals are repeated and not always the best, that we actually ate out, alot.
The snack part was rubbish for the children only allowed certain things. Also all the alcohol isn't included either.

Staff are miserable! Only a few who actually smiled and are happy to help.

It's a good half hour walk to the main beach, hills galore from this hotel and back. There is a couple of coves along the way to the main part of salou, but they are mainly used by residents in the area.

Swimming pool was very small for a large hotel, not even allowed kids floats in or the light balls for them to play with in the pool.

The entertainment people were brilliant, especially Simon and Airel.

Estuvimos muy a gusto en todo momento, las habitaciones para ser un hotel 3 estrellas están fenomenal, limpieza excepcional.
La piscina un poco pequeña para ser un hotel medianamente grande.
El restaurante varía poco de comidas, pero la calidad es buena. Yo soy celiaca, y quiero destacar la buena atención que recibí debido a mi alergia, sobre todo de Nataly, una trabajadora del restaurante, la cual ha estado muy pendiente de mi en los 4 días de estancia para que comiera bien y variado, además era muy amables. Se agradece gente así, puesto que nos facilitan las vacaciones y nos hacen estar más cómodos. Es el mayor punto a favor si volviera a este destino para repetir en el hotel.

Fiquei alojada com a minha familia neste hotel, durante uma semana e nao tenho nada a apontar, o serviço foi excelente!
Sempre muito prestáveis, a limpeza dos quartos era feita todos os dias e todos os dias havia animação no hotel.
A localização é otima, fica localizado numa zona tranquila, rodeado de outros hoteis, fica a apenas 10min a pe das principais praias e zonas turísticas.
A comida do hotel era bastante agradável, havia opções variadas e para todos os gostos.
Sem duvida que sera uma experiência a repetir numa próxima ocasião!

Las habitaciones estupendas, la piscina un poco pequeña, pero la zona de adultos de la terraza con jacuzzi maravillosa. Lo mejor parte del personal como Dylan, camarero de la terraza, Ariel uno de los animadores y unas chicas camamreras, cocinera! Buena experiencia

Lo mejor la habitación. Muy grande, amplia y 2 camas dobles. Le pongo esa nota porque hemos cogido hotel para perros y aceptan mascota (pagando un extra por no darte nada) y cuando llegamos no le dejan estar en ningún sitio salvo en la habitación. Ni restaurante, ni jardín, ni piscina.solo entrar y habitación. Hemos estado en otros y tienen adaptado terraza para comer, jardines para pasear, etc. Este NADA.

Great breakfast and food options. If you are fussy I have no idea why you would go to this type of hotel with a buffet restaurant and complain about the food. Nice fish and meat dishes and something for anyone who enjoys most kinds of food.

Rooms are modern and clean, pool area not overly crowded. Nightly entertainment and some daytime too (annoying when trying to relax by the pool though).

Glass shelf in bathroom smashed randomly which was annoying but someone came to clean it up and that was that.

Nice jacuzzi on the roof and decent view.

Food is horrible almost everything has garlic added. Service was atrocious. Lift didn't work and the rooms were dirty with towels replaced now and again. The images on the website don't represent what you actually get. All inclusive means you are treated like second class nobody's by bar staff. My daughter has a milk allergy so she was told she could eat chips and bread. Would not recommend at all

The food was boring and Luke warm, if you like pork then you are ok. One of the bar staff was very unhelpful and really didn't look or act like he was interested in helping or serving the guests. The room was ok but lacked drawer space, no entertainment and to be honest the all inclusive is the is the worst we have been to. The rest of the staff were nice and I feel sorry for them.

We've been on holiday to Salou a couple of times before but to a different hotel, so we were interested to see what the Play de Oro was like. Overall we were really impressed. The majority of the experience was excellent and there were only a couple of really minor gripes. So here's a bit more detail:

Bedrooms - Our bedroom was already ready for us as soon as we arrived, which is always a bonus. It was a decent size with two double beds, which was nice to be able to stretch out in. They were comfortable beds too. The room was quite cool so we didn't really need the aircon, but it was good and powerful when required. There was a safe which you had to pay for, and a TV which you had to hire the remote for, but you could operate it perfectly well just using the switches on the set. Our room was at the end of a corridor near to a service door which kept being left open and making a banging noise, but pushing it properly shut stopped that. Nice balcony with a view over to Port Aventura and the coast. The room was clean and was cleaned promptly every day.

Bathroom - Decent size. Just a shower, but it was powerful and nicely controllable. Towels were replaced every day. On a couple of the days when it had been raining we could notice a slight smell in the bathroom, but that was the only time and other than that it was fine.

Pool area - As we visited just out of season there was always plenty of room and lots of free sunbeds; however I can see that in high-season it might have got busy. The pool was quite small and always seemed really cold so we didn't really use it much. The area itself was nice though and always kept clean.

Food and drink - Standard all-inclusive food really. Mostly fine with a few really nice things. The omelettes at breakfast were excellent, as were the burgers (when they did them) in the evening. There was always a choice of meat and fish, potatoes and usually rice and hot and cold vegetables. We never saw a queue more than two or three people long to get in. It was a bit strange that, with the evening meal, if you wanted water you could only get a 1.5 litre bottle, though to be fair we did use them fully, if not during the meal then the next day. Seems a little bit wasteful with plastic though. The all-inclusive drinks choice was good, with San Miguel on draft and a number of local spirits and liqueurs, as well as iced-tea and milkshake. The Creme de Catalana was particularly good!

Location - Really good. About five minutes walk from the lovely beaches of Platja Llarga and Platja Capellans, and about 15 minutes to the main part of Salou and the main beach (Platja Llevant). Also really close to lots of Bus Plana office and bus stops. A word of warning though - it was impossible to get back to the hotel from the beaches or Salou without trekking up a steep hill or lots of steps or both - so anyone with limited mobility might struggle.

Staff - Beyond a couple of misunderstandings over drink orders we found the staff friendly and helpful. We didn't have any issues that needed sorting so we didn't really need them much, but we certainly didn't encounter any unpleasantness or rudeness, and I wonder sometimes if people who complain about hotel staff have been rude to them first.

Everything else - Wifi was free and the signal was good throughout the hotel, even by the pool. We didn't use the animacion services so can't comment on those. There was a TV showing Sky Sports for those who wanted it in the cafeteria area. The lifts were a bit slow and you had to wait at times, but they were both always working. The rooftop jacuzzi area was nice when we used it. And finally on our last day we were able to leave our luggage all day whilst waiting for an evening flight, which was really useful.

The Playa de Oro isn't the Savoy by any means, but we didn't have anything to complain about and we'd certainly consider staying here again on a future holiday to Salou.

Good hotel food OK breakfast was best meal off the day pool cold. Jacuzzi great room good clean and tidy restaurant staff friendly and helpful bar staff same. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel reception staff were amazing, it’s just a shame the rest of the staff we so poor, they clearly don’t like the English and go out of their way to show it, first room was unsuitable and after much complaining they moved us.
Food was always cold and we eat out more than in, as we paid over the top for this holiday we were not pleased

Estuvimos en la última planta, sobre nuestra habitación aparte del solarium con jacuzzi, debíamos tener los motores de todos los servicios del hotel a
juzgar por el ruido durante la noche, cosa que impide un buen descanso. La habitación con un olor a humedad insoportable, la comida flojita, los ascensores lentos, minúsculos e insuficientes ya que solo hay 2 para todo el hotel y ya para rematar, la cerradura del balcón inútil ya que estaba rota y la puerta quedaba abierta. En fin, que le sobra alguna estrella. Eso si, el personal muy correcto

Normal hotel. Rooms are clean. There are only two elevators and quite often you need to wait for them. The view from the top is very good. If you want to watch TV you need to leave deposit.

There are very few positives with this place, but I will start with those, as it will be quicker. The hotel wifi is free and strong. (Although you cant access TripAdvisor). Strange that? The staff are great. Very helpful, friendly and will try to help in any way they can. The food in the restaurant isn't bad a lot is cooked fresh while you wait. This is where the issues begin. It's quite a big hotel with a lot of guests and quite a small restaurant with one chef cooking fresh. So if you want a fried egg there's a que. If you want an omelette, theres a que. Pancakes.you guessed it! There is other food prepared, bacon, sausage, continental ect. Same in the evening, the foods good, but again they have a particular meat or fish ready at the grill and will cook fresh for you, but one chef 10 to 20 people wanting fresh loin pork chop equals que. Also the restaurant is too small. You have to que to get in as not enough tables, so unless you want to camp outside the restaurant so you are first in, again be prepared to wait.
Whilst I'm talking of size.the pool. The hotel has 5 floors with approximately 70 to rooms per floor. Average family say 4, so that makes minimum 1400 guests at any time. The pool will hold 30 /40 guest max. Its tiny. Once you throw in a few lilos, rubber rings and inflatable sharks half that number. You are constantly apologising (well if you are polite) for backing into someone or splashing someone.
As I've said already its quite a big hotel. I took my two boys aged 11 and 8 and my wife. We booked a family room and was presented with a room and a bathroom. The room had two double beds in it a very small table a wardrobe and a fridge. Good job the cat didn't come as there was no where to swing it. I asked at reception if there had been a mistake as I'd booked a family room. I was expecting one bedroom and perhaps two single sofa beds type things in the living area. I discovered all rooms are the same. Whether you book one person or five people you are all in together. So forget any bedroom gymnastics fellas. I could go on, the lack of sunbeds, shades ect. The two lifts for the entire hotel that are the slowest I've ever known. Genuinely walked away as I assumed it was broken.
It sounds like I'm just having a moan, the hotel didn't ruin my holiday, we used the beach instead of the pool we were on the 1st floor we walked up the stairs. We learned the quieter times of the restaurant so no or small que. The only real issue we couldn't fix was the room capacity. It was quite inconvenient, trying to all shower and get dressed at the same time. My eldest son is getting to the age where he wont get dressed/ undressed in front of us so there was a lot of tooing and frowing to the bathroom. If you have teenagers, and especially opposite sex teenagers then they are sharing a bed and changing clothes in very tight quarters.
So would I use the hotel again? No I wouldn't. It's not a terrible place, but its just not quite geared up for what its trying to provide in my opinion.

Hôtel super bruyant! Les portes ne sont pas insonorisées les cloisons non plus nous entendons tous. A 9h30 le chariot du ménage passe, 10h-11h c’est l’heure du ménage les personnes en charge de ce dernier tapent dans les murs et autres! En bref on entend tous.impossible de dormir.sinon buffet du petit déjeuner assez vaste.
Et pour finir la femme de ménage rentre dans notre chambre à 11h pour nous demander de partir alors que nous devions initialement partir à 12h.

El hotel playa de oro es magnífico, el personal de la limpieza estupendo hasta la gerencia. Estoy muy contento con el hotel, los camareros del bar y los animadores insuperables gracias por todo, volveré. Paulo lopes

We booked this hotel last minute as the price was decent and it seemed to have good reviews. I wouldn't book to stay here again, though. I'm giving this hotel 2 stars: one for cleanliness and the other for quality of food. The fact that at no point on our holiday could you make a meal from the food selection is besides the point. We had to queue every morning for breakfast, even when there were tables free (you couldn't possibly sit at 5 seated table if you were a family of 4.no no no). The fella on the door to the restaurant was miserable as sin, but the staff waiting on were generally polite and welcoming. We found it generally to be full of people taking full advantage of the all inclusive alcohol!

Good staff clean rooms food not great and need to be out the room for 10 we did not get picked up until 7.30 and all inclusive bands end at 12 we asked manager his response was not my rules not my problem

1. Check in; when we arrived the receptionist seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic, usually this sort of thing can be overlooked but it took her around 30 minutes to check us in. The reception and indoor sitting area was/is not air conditioned.

2. Getting to the rooms; the 2 elevators that service the hotel are possibly the slowest elevators in existence. We (my wife and I) find ourselves waiting for 5-10 minutes for the lift during quiet times of the day (our check in was at 11pm). During busy times we don’t bother even trying. Another issue with the elevators is that they have a capacity of 4 people (or 425kg). We are on the 5th floor so getting to and from the restaurant (which is in the basement) is a gruelling task.

3. Bar & bar staff; during our extended check in wait we decided to get something to drink (we had built up quite a thirst in the heat of the excessively warm lobby) - we come across a queue of people waiting to get served. 15 minutes later and we’ve had enough waiting. We took to the vending machine for two bottles of water. The bar staff were slow and unenthusiastic like the receptionist. The next day when we attended the bar we were shocked to find out that most of the available spirits were not included in our “all inclusive” package.

4. Meals & restaurant; after deciding not to wait on the elevators any longer we decided to walk down the 6 floors to the restaurant to be greeted by yet another queue. People were waiting to be assigned seating by a middle-aged Spaniard - yet another disinterested member of staff. After a rude pointing gesture to our faces and he pointed us to our table. This was the same for every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The food itself isn’t bad at all in my opinion. Perhaps the pasta could be cooked a little less but overall I was happy with the food.

6. Rooms; Naturally I haven’t seen all of the rooms but the ones myself and my family have are great for what’s needed.

7. Communication difficulties; I haven’t come across a single member of staff who can converse competently enough in english to communicate any issues. For example; I tried to attend the dinner buffet this evening and was turned down at the door for wearing a top without sleeves - this was an outrage. Every other meal so far throughout the holiday I had worn sleeveless top. NOTE; I was freshly showered every time. After descending the 6 floors to be turned down at the door for something out of the blue like that was totally unacceptable. Nowhere on the hotels website, signage in the hotel or anywhere during the booking process did it state that sleeveless tops could not be worn. To make matters worse, my sister-in-law was allowed in to eat wearing her sleeveless top - double standards at its finest. I walked away back to my room after this encounter and I am currently trying to move hotels or for a refund for this terrible hotel.

If anyone is looking to book this hotel - don’t - you’ll quickly regret it.

11/08/19 - Ohtel Playa De Oro, Salou

On arrival staff was very lovely and welcoming. €7 tourist tax and €23 for a safe for the week. Rooms included 2 double beds, a spacious bathroom and a lovely view from the room. Aircon was free. We went all inclusive. There was a variety of foods every day. All drinks we're branded having names such as barcadi and smirnoff. The pool is quite small however the beach is just 5 minutes away along with all the shops and bars. Would come and stay again:)

Thoroughly underrated hotel. Friendly staff, decent entertainment, great for children, good rooms, and great location, etc. The food was brilliant. My only gripes were that the pool is quite small and from my room, I could hear the elevator goining up and down (even at night). However, these were minor problems that did little to lessen the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Excellent cuisine: local fish (whiting, burbot, etc.) and fruits (watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, orange) are super! Cooks, waiters, animators and receptionists are nice and welcoming. Room service (cleaning) is not good enough, sometimes the room was poorly cleaned. There are rooms with sea views on the 7th floor - beauty. Near the beach Platja Llarga, 5 minutes walk.
