PRINCIPAL B&Bcn

I booked the single room with the twin bed. It was small but didn't need much space for just me. The hotel floor is on the 2nd level of the building, which is very old. The elevator is the kind that closes with a door. The entrance door to the building also makes alot of noise when it closes, which can be heard up to the rooms and disrupted my sleep at times.
I had to get around Barcelona mainly using the bus, but the good thing was that the stop that went towards the main attractions was right in front of the hotel, as well as the bus ticket machine.

We had issues initially checking into the room and hotel as concierge was on siesta and we didn't receive the email of the door codes but they were quite accommodating afterward and the rooms are nice along with a cool elevator. You might also be aware that the rooms they advertise are not the same as the ones you stay in.

The hotel is unresponsive to our messages and the people there don't pick up the phone even for representatives of Booking.com. The rooms are not refundable so I would advise anyone considering a stay to keep that on the mind!

Muy contento de haber elegido a B&Bcn como el lugar para dormir en mi visita a Barcelona, éstas son mis razones:

Ubicación inmejorable, cerca de las vías principales de turismo y para quien vaya por negocios o visitar otras zona, es el enclave perfecto.

La habitación que me tocó, era un interior. Silencio y descanso absoluto. Sí eres de los que no les gusta saber si es de día o de noche, está podría ser tu habitación ideal.

El personal, muy cercano, trabajador y atento. De verdad me sentí en confianza. Cuando llegaba al final del día encontraba la habitación impecable y aireada.

El baño muy cómodo y minimalista y como extra, poder escoger aire acondicionado o ventilador me ha encantado. El sueño realmente reparador.

100% recomiendo hospedarte aquí!

Posto in posizione ottima, a pochi minuti a tutto, sia a piedi che con i mezzi.
Stanza pulita e molto chic. Letto ottimo.
Unica pecca, manca lo scopino del wc.
Dovessi tornare a Barcellona, pernotteremo sicuramente di nuovo qui.

Not that the other reviews are invalid but I was lucky enough to have a room that did not smell like sewer when I stayed for a couple nights here. The rate was great for a well lit and spacious bed and breakfast so I did not hesitate. Finding it can be a little tricky but it is on the main road to anyone reading this who is having some trouble figuring out where it is. Once you get in, it’s pretty standard, and all of their rules are pretty reasonable as well.

RECOMIENDO un y mil veces. La mujer que nos atendió fue siempre súper amable, cuando llamamos o mandamos email el trato fue muy bueno y siempre de inmediato. La zona es INMEJORABLE, si vienen a Barcelona quédense en este hotel, podrán salir a caminar en la noche por esa hermosa calle llena de tiendas y restaurantes sin miedo. Nosotros tuvimos habitación con balcón a la calle, si es posible pidan esa. Si vuelvo a Barcelona, vuelvo a este hotel.

The room smelled like a sewer and there where signs of water leakage on the walls. Every time we showered the smell got worse. There was also black mold on the inside of the bathroom door which was very hard to open and close (maybe also due to water damage?). For the first night we were provided with another room (street side, very noisy) and in the morning they had “fixed” the other room. They told us that the problem was under the bathroom unit and they would have to remove it completely to solve it. For now they painted the walls were the water damage was visible and sealed the gaps with silicone. They told us that if the smell persisted we should talk to them upon check out about a refund. When we left though there was no one there except the cleaning lady who did not speak English but apparently new about the smell. I mailed and send messages via WhatsApp to different numbers I hade and in the beginning was told that they will look into it and contact me with a solution once there boss was back from vacation. Since than I wrote numerous messages but only received an offer of 22€ refund (20% of the first night). I declined the offer asking for 20% of the whole stay. I still think this is more than fair as problems persisted throughout the stay and communication afterwards is the worst I have ever experienced. Other problems where the noise that was caused by people working somewhere on the building and also the fact that the soundproofing was so bad that we could talk to our friends in the next room through the closed windows/ walls We paid 110€ a night for the room which is absurd under these conditions. They had almost 6 weeks to come up with a solution after we left but I am almost certain the leakage was long known and nothings was done to solve it. Don’t ruin your trip by staying with them!

Nous sommes restés une nuit, mais je suis prête à revenir à la prochaine occasion! La chambre est vraiment belle, avec une décoration moderne et soignée. Le personnel est acccueillant, chaleureux, mais également très souciant du confort et du bien être de ses clients. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et y reviendrai très prochainement!

Very nice B&B arranged in an old but renovated flat. The location is perfect on the Diagonal.
There is a possibility to get a small and inexpensive breakfast there.

Breakfast was very poor. The ceiling in the breakfast room was low so my husband could not stand up straight! The room was clean.

Nous avions pris une réservation pour une nuit.
Nous sommes arrivée le matin et avons eu un très bel accueil. La chambre était idéalement placé avec une belle luminosité et un grand lit.
C’était de surcroît très calme.
Merci et je ne peux que recommandé.

The place is very clean and nice hotel room, so except for a cracked basin can't be faulted. Make sure you are there by 3. I was locked out for a while.

The room is simple and classy. Bed is comfortable. Location is not too bad if you are willing to explore non touristy areas. Excellent cafes and restaurants nearby

Lovely hotel. We stayed for four days and the room and the view have been amazing. Great central location, can walk or jump on a bus and get pretty much anywhere! 10/10

Perfecto para una corta estadía en Barcelona. Prolijo, súper limpio y una excelente comunicación con el personal. La ubicación, un lujo. Rodeada de restaurantes y comercios sin el bullicio del centro
