Always loved Ethiopian food. This place did not disappoint. Sega Wot and Misir Wot was amazing.

Fantastic food, friendly service, very fair prices, and a social atmosphere in a stylish, relaxed restaurant.

Half the menu is vegan, and delicious. There's chicken and beef for those interested though. I recommend to come with friends—the food is made to be shared. You each order a set menu of different dishes and they're served on an injera flatbread (made of teff, which is gluten free) and it gets bigger the more people you share with. Tear some flatbread with your hands, wrap it around some food and dive in. Food tastes better when you eat with your hands, and better again with friends.

The tables are organised so you share just enough space to be private, but can also interact with your fellow diners, so it's good for both options.

I think it must be family owned because every time I've gone, it's the same server and the same kitchen staff. Super friendly people and it's worthwhile to support them. Absolutely recommended.

Que gusto un etíope con opciones veganas! Cenamos súper bien, la comida está riquísima y genial la porción del menú!

Pedimos el de pollo y el de guisante amarillo, y estaba todo buenísimo. El camarero fue muy detallista, y el vino que nos recomendó estaba bastante bueno. Aunque sin duda para mí lo mejor fue la tarta de chocolate, nada empalagosa, entraba sola!

This dish is best eaten shared and with your hands. There’s an accesible sink for you to wash your hands before and after the meal.

Do make a reservation if you can as it looks like it could get crowded. If you want, you could ask for more injera. Servers are friendly, we will be back!

Muy buena comida, auténtica y rica, muy limpio, la ambiente muy correcta, el camarero (un chico de Eritrea) es muy bueno y simpático, y los precios son adecuados, no es caro para nada. Volveremos seguro!

La carta es curta, 4 opcions de plats per compartir. Es menja amb les mans i tots del mateix plat enorme. Molt ben presentat, ens va recomanar segons el grau de picant i va estar molt be. Opcions veganes.

Un viaje culinario de comida africana en Barcelona. Comida etíope muy buena. Te explican que es tradición comer con las manos, sino te apetece puedes pedir unos cubiertos. Si te apetece probar algo diferente este es tu sitio, te sorprenderá.

Beautiful place! Between the gorgeous interior, warm and friendly owners and delicious food, this is a little gem of a place that we look forward to visiting again when we return to BCN.

The lentils and pumpkin dishes were particularly delicious. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike; everything is flavourful and perfect for scooping up with the fluffy injera bread.

Una experiència molt orignal per aquells que vulguin provar i tastar coses diferents. Es menja amb les mans, de manera que no és apte per a tots els públics.
Els sabors són originals, diferents, variats i molt encertats.
La varietat de plats i opcions és correcta.
En l'apartat de begudes falla considerablement. Ofereix cerveses locals típiques, i algun vi que deixa molt per desitjar. Una llàstima no poder acompanyar el menjar amb una beguda que estigués a l'alçada.

Si te gusta, la comida etíope, este lugar es muy recomendable. Bien decorado, limpio y buen servicio. Siempre es una experiència provar sus sabores mezclados en ese pan tan rico, que se desahece en tus manos. Tienen su cerveza etíope, vinos y refrescos. Mejor comer, que cenar llena mucho!

Sitio con mucho encanto, bonita decoración y con muy agradable música etíope. Todo muy rico! Platos “combinados” con verduras de ternera, de pollo y también vegetarianos. Recomiendo el de ternera picante. Experiencia muy interesante aunque el Domingo estaba bastante lleno a mediodia. Quizas sea mejor un dia mas tranquilo sin tanto barullo. Coincido en que los postres se pueden mejorar y ampliar. Volveré!

Great Ethiopian Food at very reasonable price. We took three types of their fixed menu. It all came in a single, big, to-share platter. The beef and the lentils were great. The injara was soft and fluffy as it should be. The other items like the chicken, beet root, cabbage, cottage cheese and cauliflower mince were delicious too.

The owner as everyone has expressed in their reviews is a delight.

Es increíble este sitio. Muy buena comida y excelente servicio. Escogimos el menu con ternera y con pollo. Esto para dos personas.
Te los sirven ambos en un plato, osea, es para compartir.
No hay cubiertos, allí es solo manos. El pan que es como una creppe, lo vas arrancando y usando los trozos para agarrar la comida.
El picante de la ternera es muy para todos los gustos. Puedes pedir un toque más picante si te gusta tanto como a mí.

The food was very tasty with set menus and you can try lots of different dishes on the same serve. Big portion to share between friends. Very reasonable price. The service was very good as well. Recommended

Experience très originale, nous n'avions jamais mangé éthiopien et avons été agréablement surpris. On mange avec les doigts dans un grand plat des spécialités éthiopiennes. Désert le midi, le service à donc été très rapide et le serveur très attentionné.

Bon restaurant per sopar de manera diferent al típic menjar occidental. En un mateix plat trobes molts sabors que et deixen ben tip a bon preu. Per disfrutar amb la parella del fet de menjar d'una forma diferent sense coberts. Tan el pollastre, com les llenties, i alguna altre d'aquestes delicies porten picant, però a un nivell suau, que acompanyat d'una copa de vi blanc o un vas d'aigua no t'incomode.

So many restuarants trying to rip you off because you are tourist in Barcelona. But Taitu stands tall, shinning beacon of light, of how it should not cost you an arm or leg to experience exotic food, in this case Ethiopian. Amazing food, great price, great ambience and welcoming service.

So so so delicious! We tried the Chicken plate and Beef plate and they were both amazing, we couldn't stop eating! Staff was friendly and I liked the interior/ambiance too. Definitely want to go back again!

Best Ethiopian in Barcelona. Incredible authentic Ethiopian food we went about 10 times during our 3 months in Barcelona because it was so Damnn good! Our waiter was extremely friendly always greeted us with a smile. One of our fave spots thank you highly recommend!

This restaurant is EXQUISITE. I went there tonight for a women's ministry night out and was blown away by the taste of the food, the authentic interior and the friendly down to earth service. I'm taking my husband here, again and again a new one to add to the favourites! Thank you TAiTU and your beautiful staff.

Tengo entendido que uno de los valores más importantes en Etiopia es la comunidad y la familia, y eso se refleja en su forma de comer. Ha sido realmente agradable sentarse alrededor de una mesa redonda y compartir el plato con mis acompañantes.
Nos han servido dos Injera, una especie de crepe redonda a la que le añaden diferentes guisos. El primero todo vegetal y el segundo también vegetal con guisos de carne (pollo y ternera), nada de cerdo pues en el país no lo consumen ya que la gran mayoría son cristianos ortodoxos y musulmanes.
Brutal el ir cortando pedazos de injera y tomando pequeñas porciones de guisos. Es un espectáculo de sabores sorprendentes y realmente buenos: col, kale, guisantes amarillos, lentejas, calabaza, las carnes… además de que todo está riquísimo, es una excelente forma de introducir a los niños rebeldes al mundo de las verduras. Las adorarán.
Si a lo que ya he contado, añadimos que el trato del personal del restaurante es muy amable, educado y atento, el resultado es que Taitú se ha convertido en uno de mis restaurantes preferidos de Barcelona.

Restaurante étnico acogedor, que te introduce completamente en otra cultura, desde el mobiliario, hasta por supuesto, la comida, pasando por una bonita decoración. La comida muy sabrosa y un trato estupendo a precio correcto.

If you are vegan or not, this place offers you the best and delicious food. Also non vegatarian options.
I have been to a lot of ethiopian restaurants (Netherlands, Brussels, Malta) and to be honest this the best one I have ever been. The price is super fair for Barcelona, and this is included a wonderful service and atmosphere. Don’t hesitate and give it a try. Good wine and beer, and great location (not so far from the ramblas) amazing Injera!
And as you can see we almost even ate the food plate)

Diferente, coqueto a la vista, pero quizás poca variedad en carta.
Te ponen un plato para compartir entre 3/4 personas, que engloba toda la carta, salvo que quiera de una cosa en concreto.

Para destacar, se come con las manos aunque tienes opción de usar cubiertos.
Te dan una pequeña masa parecida a unos creps y con eso tienes que coger tu comida.
No me importaría volver, por la experiencia.

We loved that. Amazing food and great staff. We went for the Valentine’s night dinner and I was a bit worried about my choice, but at the end I came up with a great experience and great food. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Fuimos a cenar y nos encantó. Muy buena experiencia en el restaurante, muy buena decoración y ambiente. La comida estaba realmente buena y tienen opción con carne y vegetariano. La atención excelente, el camarero fue muy agradable y atento con nosotros. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Nos hemos sentido muy a gusto tanto por el trato recibido como por la comida. Trabajador servicial y muy atento, cordial en el trato, generoso y con predisposición, sin crear en ningún momento clima de incomodidad. Comida rica y sabores interesantes. Recomendado para probar cosas nuevas y disfrutar de un buen rato.

Not an expert of ethiopian standards for food, but what i can say is that the food i experienced was amazingly delicious. Ambiance is pleasant, really ideal for drinking and in my case for a date.

My GF and I really enjoyed the overall experience here.

Not to mention that our kind server gave us extra meat on the house. Kudos to the guy who served us.

Personal muy atento y simpático, la comida buenísima, a mi me gustó especialmente el plato elaborado con pollo. Fantástica experiencia pero sobretodo, destacaría la oportunidad de poder compartir la comida con el resto de los acompañantes. Buenísima opción para probar algo diferente. Repetiremos.
