The Barcelona Taste - Food Tours

Una fantástica experiencia de comida y bebida en el barrio Gótico de Barcelona. Larea es una anfitriona maravillosa y divertida.

Nuestro tour de tapas con Esther fue una experiencia encantadora. Aprendimos mucho sobre la cultura y la historia de la zona mientras probábamos la deliciosa comida local y bebíamos excelentes bebidas. Se lo recomendaría a parejas, grupos de amigos o incluso a viajeros solitarios que quieran aprender más sobre la cultura española. Las recomendaciones que recibimos después del recorrido también fueron de gran ayuda para el resto de nuestro viaje.

Han pasado algunas semanas desde que salimos de Barcelona y empezamos a reflexionar sobre lo que más nos gustó del viaje. El tour gastronómico Barcelona Taste está en la cima y lo haremos nuevamente cuando regresemos a Barcelona. El restaurante y las opciones de comida eran variados y todos de primera calidad. Tito, nuestro anfitrión fue amable como era de esperar. Pero mejor que eso, él era él mismo y todos en el grupo de la gira coincidieron en que era un gran compañero para la cena.

Tuvimos una fantástica cena gastronómica con Lorea en el barrio de Poble Sec. Todos los platos fueron realmente excelentes y fue maravilloso explorar algunos pequeños establecimientos fuera del circuito turístico. Fue un placer cenar con Lorea y aprendimos mucho de ella. ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente el tour de Poble Sec con The Barcelona Taste!

Como nunca había hecho un recorrido gastronómico, fui algo cauteloso, pero no tenía por qué preocuparme.todo acerca de este recorrido fue increíble. Nuestra maravillosa guía Esther fue una gran compañía y nos llevó a lugares que simplemente no hubiéramos encontrado por nosotros mismos, explicándonos todo a lo largo del camino y brindando un toque de color local a toda la experiencia. Comida increíble, excelentes bebidas y compañía. Una experiencia fantástica en todos los sentidos.

Nos unimos al tour de tapas nocturno organizado por Esther mientras estábamos en Barcelona hace un par de semanas y lo pasamos muy bien. Disfrutamos minuciosamente de la comida, la bebida y los lugares que visitamos. Esther se tomó el tiempo para explicar la historia detrás de algunos lugares y las tradiciones fueron encantadoras. Recomiendo encarecidamente este tour en su próxima visita a Barcelona.

Pasamos una velada estupenda con un pequeño grupo de cuatro personas en el Tour Nocturno de Tapas en el Barrio Gótico. Una excelente manera de ponernos manos a la obra con las tapas al comienzo de nuestra semana en la ciudad. Recorrimos cuatro lugares que estaban realmente fuera de la ruta turística y realmente disfrutamos de la cálida presentación informativa de Esther. Lo más destacado de nuestra estancia en Barcelona. ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente este recorrido! Este no es un recorrido gastronómico promedio: fue organizado por Esther, que era cocinera, entusiasta de la comida y local. Ella es encantadora e informativa. Probamos más platos de los que pensé que tendríamos y ¡el vino fluyó! Al final me sentí lleno y feliz y sentí que estábamos en restaurantes encantadores que no hubiéramos encontrado solos en el Barrio Gótico. ¡Reserva este!

Hicimos un tour de tapas por la noche con nuestro guía Tito. El conocimiento de Tito sobre el área y la historia de la comida y bebida local fue asombroso. Parecía que 3 horas habían terminado tan rápido que salimos muy llenos y no pudimos recomendar este recorrido lo suficiente. Una noche absolutamente increíble y no podemos recomendar este tour lo suficiente.

Tuvimos una deliciosa variedad de comidas en nuestra cena de septiembre con nuestra guía Anna de Barcelona Taste. Estaba muy informada y conocedora de los restaurantes de la zona gótica de Barcelona. Este fue nuestro punto de encuentro en la estatua. Esperamos regresar pronto.

Mi familia tomó el tour Barcelona Taste el miércoles para almorzar y tuvo una experiencia fantástica. La comida era excelente y auténtica con ingredientes muy frescos y tapas bien preparadas.

Además, nuestro guía fue excelente y estaba muy bien informado sobre toda la comida / vino y la historia local. Gracias por un gran tour culinario de Barcelona.

Anna hizo un trabajo fabuloso compartiendo el barrio del Eixample con nosotros a través de tapas y conversaciones en nuestro Tapas Tour a la hora del almuerzo. Explicó muchas costumbres locales, tanto relacionadas con la comida como con otras. Fue muy agradable poder hacer preguntas (¡en inglés!) a un local sobre todas esas cosas que uno siente curiosidad cuando visita una nueva ciudad. Anna hizo una muestra tan agradable de muchos platos locales de tapas favoritos. Nuestro recorrido incluyó 2 bares/cafeterías, cada uno de los cuales servía una variedad de artículos salados combinados con vinos locales. Tan delicioso (¡y muy abundante!). Nuestra tercera parada fue para el postre. Y qué dulce para untar fue con lo más destacado para mí siendo la pastelería catalana xuixo. ¡Guau! Y, para colmo, después, ella nos envió un correo electrónico personal dándonos algunas recomendaciones (que le habíamos preguntado) de restaurantes para una buena cena de mariscos mientras celebrábamos nuestro aniversario de boda unos días después mientras aún estábamos en Barcelona. Recomiendo encarecidamente a Anna y esta gira. Realmente no te puedes equivocar aquí.

Una gran experiencia. Una manera maravillosa de probar alimentos que de otro modo no probarías y de aprender mucho sobre el área. Nuestra guía, Anna, fue cálida e interesante y compartió libremente su gran cantidad de información con nosotros sobre Barcelona y Cataluña, tanto la historia y la cultura como la comida. We scheduled a tour with The Barcelona Taste Food Tours - last minute due to an unfortunate cancellation mix-up with another tour company - and I am SO GLAD WE DID! The Barcelona Taste Food Tour was simply AMAZING! First of all the company was super responsive - as I sent a last minute email asking if they could accommodate us with less than a 24 hour notice. Not only were they uber-responsive, but we were able to schedule a private tour with Maribel - and she was FABULOUS - sharing some fun food insights and history with us and even ordering some special dishes to share with our family which made the evening even more memorable. I can't say enough about how wonderful this company, tour and guide were - truly one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. Fantástico recorrido! Probablemente nuestra mejor noche en España. El chico estaba bien informado sobre comida y vino, cultura, historia y puntos de acceso de la ciudad. Fuimos a una zona no turística de Barcelona y visitamos tres restaurantes diferentes. El tamaño del grupo pequeño lo hizo mucho más atractivo.

My daughter and I had an amazing evening tapas tour with Lorea. She is very knowledgeable about food and wine, and Barcelona history as well. Lorea has a great personality! She also got non-alcohol drinks for us upon our requests. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Our guide Michelle was genuine, funny, and so welcoming. We had tons of tapas and beverages all of which were amazing and authentic! Our guide discussed so, so much with us and promised to email us a list of all her recommendations. We got it the very next day, hitting 3 of her locals only suggestions and feeling very impressed! This is money and precious time well spent!

Lorea was a wonderful guide. Food and drinks were amazing. We went out to get tapas the day before our food tour, and we thought we could skip it- we were wrong! The places Lorea took us were the BEST restaurants we went to on our trip. Highly recommend.

Our group had a great evening with Lorea in the Poble-sec neighborhood of Barcelona as well as with Jaume in the Alella wine region. Wonderful food and wine, well organized restaurant and winery visits, and Lorea was able to make adjustments as needed for our group. I highly recommend food tours or a day of wine tasting with The Taste Barcelona!

Anna was excepcional! We had a delightful, palate pleasing array of traditional Catalan cuisine, and so generous with helpful information and suggestions for the remainder of our trip. I highly recommend a booking with the company, and request Anna!

A fantastic tour! My husband I love food, I read wonderful reviews about tours with The Barcelona Taste and signed us up before we departed for the city. We did the Gothic Quarter tour with Tito, who was charming, knowledgeable, and a great conversationalist. It was fun to learn about him, his experience growing up in Barca, and of course, about the food we were eating. We were stuffed by the end, these folks do not skimp on ordering! We visited 3 (maybe 4?) different eateries, and enjoyed a lovely assortment of traditional and a little off-the-beaten-path items. Know that the Gothic Tour leans toward a more traditional tapas experience overall, and that there are other tours that are less traditional - just ask before you book. We wanted to do the Gothic Quarter b/c it was close to our hotel and it's gorgeous at night.

Also, I have celiac disease and would like to thank Lorea for emailing with me before I signed up re how this might be handled - for anyone else with this issue - the short answer is that they'll order naturally GF tapas on the tour, but they can't, of course, guarantee no cross contamination - so that's up to you. I risked it, I was 100% fine, and I had SUCH a good time. Highly recommend these folks - in fact, a friend of mine has already booked with them for an upcoming trip! Que aprofiti!

On our 9 day trip to Spain, the Barcelona Taste food tour was one of our absolute favorites experiences. Our guide, Tito, was fantastic. It was like sitting down with an old friend who knows all of the good spots to eat. It was a great first night in Barcelona and helped us navigate the tapas scene in El Born and the Gothic Quarter for the remainder of our trip. Our teenage kids also thought this was one of their favorite things we did on our trip. Great experience all together.

We were so pleased with our Taste of Barcelona dinner tapas tour, with the primary reason: Our Guide MARIBEL!

From her easy to find meeting point, early arrival and very relaxed pace strolling through Barcelona's incredible Gothic Quarter (and her dropping historical "tapas" along the way noting places of significance) her professionalism & care for clients is SO obvious!

Oh, and then the FOOD! We were taken to 3 spots I never would have found for a great cross-section of Spanish menu at first bar (Chorizo sausage, Bull's tail done PERFECTLY with the richest sauce, rich bread & potatoes and a nice vermouth).

Next was a Catalonian restaurant for a their special take on Paella rice, "Pisto" of eggplant, croquettas, etc.). Wine pairing was terrific.

And finally a dessert spectacular stop in the Jewish Qtr of custard/Flan, cake and ice cream selection. A local "cava" sparkling Catalan wine and coffee offered.

In summary we had a very mixed, small relaxed group of 6 (two from NYC, 2 from Holland, 1 from Seattle, 1 from California & 1 from Cadiz Spain) who were all open to new tastes & experiences that bonded very well this pleasant evening!

HIGHLY recommend this tour.but do it ASAP upon arrival in Barcelona, as Maribel emails all guests a follow-up list of local favorite restaurants, bars and shops that will be IN-valuable the remainder if your stay.

Unfortunately we ended our trip with this tour.and now have to return to try as many places on her list as possible!

Highly recommend The Barcelona Taste for their tapas food tour! Maribel was our host and she provided great insight into their traditions and neighborhoods. None of the food and drink selections were ones I would have chosen on my own, which is what makes the food tour so special - they were all absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful time and would go again.
The date I had originally chosen was booked full but I filled out the form requesting a reservation if they had any cancellations. I received an email a few hours later that more slots were available. This process was all very easy and I was grateful they were so accommodating.

We had an amazing food tour with Lorea in December 2022. She picked outstanding restaurants and unique tapas for the group that we thoroughly enjoyed. Lorea also shared some interesting history about Spain and Barcelona as we walked between restaurants. I highly recommend this tour - it was the highlight of our time in Barcelona!

Hola! We did the evening 7-10 rotational tapas tour and it was sublime! We had a party of 7 guests along with our wonderful host Maribel. We sampled tapas, raciones and dessert at three lovely 'local best' locations all while walking in the charming Gothic district. The food was exceptional and Maribel kept us informed and charmed by the customs and aromas of Barcelona the entire evening. I highly recommend this tour, especially on one of your first evenings in town.

We had an absolutely amazing time! Maribel was a fantastic guide and she ordered all the food and drinks at each location, explained their significance, and gave us incredible memories. I would highly recommend!

We did three food tours on Portugal/Spain trip and this was the best one by far! The food was ridiculously good and appreciated the group was small. Gracia was very knowledgeable not only of Spanish food and culture, but history as well! I highly recommend booking this when you arrive to Barcelona as we came out of it with a list of amazing restaurants to try for the remainder of our trip.

We did a food tour a few weeks ago for our first time to Spain and absolutely loved it! It was so much fun, had absolutely amazing food and loved the group we were with. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience so much better. Definitely worth it!

We had a wonderful time on this food tour through the Gothic Quarter. Three delicious stops, and PLENTY of wonderful cuisine. Adria was an awesome guide (and a sommelier - so the wine pairings were spot on), and we really enjoyed our evening with our small group of 6. We returned to one of the spots the next evening as we loved a couple of the dishes that much. Highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip! Oh, and they accommodated a tree nut allergy without any challenges - even substituted an alternate dish for the one item that included nuts.

Our group of 7 had a fantastic afternoon of gastronomical delights with our expert guide Loreau! Visiting 3 specially chosen restaurants in Eixample, we sampled delicious food made with local seasonal ingredients. The wines were superb as were all the dishes that just seemed to keep arriving at our table. I highly recommend The Barcelona Taste if you are lucky enough to be in Barcelona!

Fantastic way to tour the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona and try some delicious food. Maribel was a great guide who showed us some amazing tapas restaurants and various food/drink selections. Was a great introduction to tapas we used as a guide through the rest of our trip.

Great guide in Maria, and I highly recommend it for helping find interesting restaurants that are a little off the beaten path. I would do it again!

We had a fabulous tapas tour with Lorea. There were seven of us and she took us to three authentic, local tapas bars where she knew the owners and chose delicious things for us to try. We were stuffed by the end of the three hours! Lorea is very knowledgeable about Spanish food history and generous with her knowledge. Highly recommend booking this tour in Barcelona!
