Contactamos a Helene antes de nuestro viaje a España, ella organizó dos días de bodegas y visitas turísticas que fueron perfectas para las necesidades de nuestro grupo.
Helene nos recogió en nuestro hotel y nos llevó a las zonas rurales más hermosas. Visitamos dos regiones conocidas por su vino y cava, Penedés y Allela. También logró llevarnos a Monserrat para visitar el monasterio.
Cada bodega que visitamos era diferente y auténtica. Experimentamos desde empresas familiares modernas hasta muy rústicas. ¡Aprendimos y probamos mucho vino y cava!

La mejor experiencia que tuvimos en Barcelona. Helena es asombrosa. Nos recorrió Barcelona y nos llevó a la bodega más increíble. Ella es muy complaciente y habla excelente inglés. Hicimos una nueva amiga con ella y la contactaremos la próxima vez que estemos en la ciudad. Recomendamos 100%.

Mi esposo y yo fuimos muy afortunados de haber encontrado a Helen para mostrarnos la maravillosa región vinícola del Priorat, cerca de Barcelona, ​​España, mientras estábamos de vacaciones allí en julio pasado. El viaje dura aproximadamente 3 horas en coche de ida y vuelta desde Barcelona, ​​pero valió la pena el viaje. Viniendo del norte de California, disfrutamos de las riquezas del Valle de Napa. Conocimos el Priorat AVA y quisimos explorar lo que ofrecía con un guía experto. Helen entendió nuestros deseos y seleccionó 3 bodegas fantásticas para nuestro viaje que también incluían un almuerzo. Nuestras paradas incluyeron una bodega propiedad de uno de los 5 chicos que revivieron esta región en los años 70. Estuvo a la altura de sus expectativas. Centrado en la uva garnacha, su vino es complejo y duradero. Hay que respetar su filosofía de elaboración del vino. No entraré en eso. Sólo tienes que experimentarlo por ti mismo. La siguiente parada es un almuerzo íntimo con maridaje de vinos en una pequeña bodega/hotel/restaurante familiar. Recorrimos su bodega subterránea a la que sólo se puede acceder por una única escalera de caracol. Fue fantástico. Para el almuerzo, ofrecieron una deliciosa ensalada caprese y verduras asadas y pasta con champiñones maridados con sus vinos; una comida tan agradable. Nuestro último rebaje es la bodega más antigua de la región desde el siglo XVII. Ojalá tuviéramos más tiempo para recorrer los terrenos, ya que la arquitectura es tan sorprendente como sus vinos.
Helen no solo nos brindó vinos de degustación maravillosa, sino que también nos brindó historias e historias increíbles de las bodegas del Priorat. Nos encantó tanto nuestro viaje que deseamos que hubiera más tiempo. Por fin tendremos que contentarnos con este día. Gracias Helen por una experiencia inolvidable en Priorat. Hasta la proxima vez.

It was very nice to have a guide who has been living in the country and the city for many years, knows the places and the culture.

The yards that you found for us were also super, I liked the personal touch which came from us being the only customers as well as from the yards being small.

It was also nice to see two very different kind of yards,

the first one which had been in the family for generations and was making wine for distribution and this vineyard was more like old school / traditional place. Owner served wine using Riedel glasses etc.and whole session was interactive where you got owners and guide full attention. Educational lesson and tasting (Cava, 2 white and 1 red)

The second one not so long in the current owner´s possession and is selling Cava to only a small amount of people. Here was also extremely nice personal touch for everything. Tasting 3 different Cava + tour + educational session. Young dynamic owner, more like new approach for everything, but of course main thing product itself = Cava was very good and first time ever was possible taste real clear differences between products.

And last but not least - the restaurant at the end of the day - fantastic view! Perfect choice for eating, we would never how found that place on our own.
We was ordered tour where was included lunch break after Winery visits (optional + extra cost) notice that even there is extra cost for this it is very marginal

Helene did a fantastic job of customizing a unique tour for me and my husband. The 3 wineries visited were each unique experiences, offering a variety of characteristics all their own. We requested to stop for lunch in between and the restaurant selected was beyond charming with wonderful food, service and a terrific value. But Helene's personality was part of the experience as well.her knowledge of the region (as a long-time resident) and her enthusiasm in sharing her knowledge about the wineries and owners was key. We are very grateful for her good care and look forward to returning and booking again in the future.

We went on a private tour to Priorat, and we had a great experiance with Helene. She was both very proffecional and helpful, and I can strongly recommend Wine Tours Barcelona for anyone who is interrested in wine and wine making.

The guide Helene came to pick us up from the port after ending our cruice in Barcelona. We were pick up with a new BMW and taken to two small and charming wineries just outside of the city. We have been on several wine tours before, but we were extra happy with Helene and her choice of wineries. She was also very knowledgeable about winemaking, and made our tour a real treat. We can recommend her for anybody who is looking for a special wine tours.
