Our tour guide Lexi did a wonderful job taking us through Madrid and telling us the history of the city. This tour was a perfect way to experience Madrid at the beginning of our stay so that we knew which places to visit later on our own. Lexi also gave us many restaurant and bar recommendations, and all the places we tried were delicious!

Joined both the Free Tour and Spanish Inquisition Tour led by Sebastian and they were great! Sebastian is very enthusiastic and passionate about the history and narrates the stories in a very engaging manner. Sebastian even brought extra raincoats/umbrellas as it was a rainy day that day.

The tour is great and full of interesting facts. Great way to explore Madrid. The guide showed us interesting places and gave plenty of recommendations. Unfortunately as Sandemans tours are always popular we had a big group and the way our guide was speaking it was clear he repeats the same info all the time, so it didn’t feel too personal unlike some other free walking tours. Would still recommend it

Did this tour on our first day in Madrid and I have to say that Jovan is AMAZING. It was like going on a tour with a historian and an actor all in one. I’ve done several Sandeman tours and while all of them were awesome, Jovan made this one of the best. He also gave us some fantastic food and drink options after the tour and that alone saved us more than a hundred bucks and filled our bellies with delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend this tour and specifically get it with Jovan if you can.

I have done many of the SANDEMANs walking tours and even the Madrid tour twice. However, this tour with Jovan was the best tour I have taken! He was interactive, incredibly helpful, and overall very knowledgeable. He even took time to go to every group during a break time to answer any questions we might have. Truly the best tour guide I have ever had. He also gave us his personal email and number so we can contact him with questions, even about our trip to lisbon!

It was great as usual! Jovan Gibson was my guide. Very funny and down to earth, he took us through the streets of Madrid during the heatwave. No joke. Abanitos (fans) prepared for all of us, plus a quick stop for restrooms and glass of wine. I enjoyed that we only touched based on the Inquisition. There is so much more to explore. Like the carboneras nuns cookies! Hihjy recommend!

We did the original Madrid tour this morning with Sabastian and loved it. He was funny, provided great history, recommendations and did his best to find shady places to share Madrid’s rich history. Highly recommend his tour!
