Mis dos hijas fueron a esta escuela. La una ya es mayor y le gustaba mucho estudiar allí. El segundo está ahora en la escuela por tercer año y está muy feliz en la escuela. Además de ser feliz, está aprendiendo mucho allí a través de experiencias creativas. Y ha aprendido inglés muy bien y muy rápidamente. Los profesores son agradables, amigables y receptivos. La administración también. Sólo puedo decir las mejores palabras sobre la escuela.

Mi hijo ha estado en AIS durante más de un año y medio. Esta es probablemente su escuela favorita, de las 4 escuelas en las que ha estudiado. Como muchos críticos han mencionado, ¡la ubicación es absolutamente impresionante e inspiradora! Los profesores son muy cualificados, pacientes y comprensivos. La administración también es muy comprensiva y servicial. Los estudiantes son muy libres y cómodos con los profesores y la administración.
Desafortunadamente, mi hijo comenzó en las clases de secundaria, por lo que se perdió todas las maravillosas actividades Waldorf de las clases de primaria. Sin embargo, esa misma mentalidad y filosofía también se transmiten a las clases altas. El ambiente general de la escuela es muy tranquilo, enriquecedor y pacífico. A todos los estudiantes que conozco les encanta asistir a la escuela. ¡Mi hijo se niega a faltar a la escuela incluso cuando no se encuentra bien!
La carga académica se vuelve más pesada en las clases de IGCSE, pero los estudiantes están bien preparados mediante pruebas continuas y clases de recuperación. No tienen demasiadas opciones de materias, pero siguen mejorando a medida que aumenta la población estudiantil. Es una escuela relativamente joven, por lo que, naturalmente, pasará por algunos problemas de crecimiento. La administración está muy abierta a recibir comentarios y la novedad le ayuda a proporcionar una atmósfera dinámica y vibrante.
Investigamos mucho sobre las escuelas progresistas en España y Portugal antes de decidir mudarnos aquí para AIS. ¡Estamos muy seguros de que tomamos la decisión correcta al seleccionar AIS!

My son has studied here few years and now, seeing the education he has received I can say we made a wrong decision to enrol our son in this school.
We have enrol him here because the location of the school is amazing. But all the rest was a disaster: very unprofessional management, very weak teachers, not Waldorf, not British Curriculum. We have wasted our time and money at this school with zero results for the education of our son.

Mi hijo esta 1.5 años aquí en esa bonita escuela.aprendió en poco tiempo el inglés y ha recibido mucho apoyo por parte de sus maestros. Desde mi hijo esta en el AIS ha recuperado su creatividad, puede solucionar los deberes el mismo y va con más ganas a su escuela. Estoy muy agradecida.

Mi hijo ha estudiado aquí algunos años y ahora, viendo la educación que ha recibido puedo decir que tomamos una decisión equivocada al inscribir a nuestro hijo en esta escuela.
Lo inscribimos aquí porque la ubicación de la escuela es increíble. Pero todo lo demás fue un desastre: una gestión muy poco profesional, profesores muy débiles, ni Waldorf ni el currículo británico. Hemos perdido nuestro tiempo y dinero en esta escuela sin resultados para la educación de nuestro hijo.

My son had a terrible experience here. The children in his class and above are aggressive, disrespectful and he tolerated so much violent behaviour towards him it has had a lasting affect. We took our son out of the school after he was kicked in the shins until it was bleeding!
We moved for the school but it was a huge disappointment. I believe they take children that aren't accepted at other schools. Maybe they have some behavioural issues. It looks beautiful and some of the teachers are commited, but definitely not a positive or holistic environment for children. If you are considering here just spend some time watching the children at 'play'.

Mis hijas han estado dos años en el colegio y nuestra experiencia no ha sido buena.
Tuvimos problemas graves que la dirección no fue capaz de solucionar, para ser sincera, pasaron las semanas y no hicieron nada porque "estaban muy liados". La dirección no está cualificada para dirigir un colegio y cuantos más niños, peor.
Intuíamos que el nivel académico podía no ser muy alto y ahora, en el nuevo colegio, nos damos cuenta de que el del AIS es realmente bajo y nuestras hijas están haciendo un esfuerzo sobrehumano para poder estar al nivel de un colegio normal.
Tuvimos problemas graves que la dirección no fue capaz de solucionar, para ser sincera, pasaron las semanas y no hicieron nada porque "estaban muy liados". La dirección no está cualificada para dirigir un colegio y cuantos más niños, peor.
Intuíamos que el nivel académico podía no ser muy alto y ahora, en el nuevo colegio, nos damos cuenta de que el del AIS es realmente bajo y nuestras hijas están haciendo un esfuerzo sobrehumano para poder estar al nivel de un colegio normal.

Mi hijo tuvo una experiencia terrible aquí. Los niños de su clase y superiores son agresivos, irrespetuosos y toleraba tanto comportamiento violento hacia él que ha tenido un efecto duradero. ¡Sacamos a nuestro hijo de la escuela después de que le patearan las espinillas hasta que sangrara!
Nos mudamos a la escuela pero fue una gran decepción. Creo que aceptan niños que no son aceptados en otras escuelas. Tal vez tengan algunos problemas de comportamiento. Se ve hermoso y algunos de los maestros están comprometidos, pero definitivamente no es un ambiente positivo u holístico para los niños. Si está considerando aquí, simplemente pase un tiempo viendo a los niños 'jugar'.

One of the best decisions I have made for my children was enrolling them at AIS International School for many years! We are Americans from Colorado and have continued to live in Spain because of this school.
I had good schools to choose from in the United States, but AIS really encompasses something special. The location is absolutely stunning, and the school's overall vibes are quite magical. The diversity of students and teachers creates a unique multi-cultural environment that offers a high level of academics while equally fostering creativity.
Throughout the years at AIS International School, my children have had many teachers, and I can honestly say they genuinely liked them all. I never once had an issue with any of them or with administration, which I attribute to the fact that the school's core values mimic mine as a parent.
It is an understatement to say my son and daughter both thrived at AIS International School. It MORE than prepared them for their next endeavors; their achievements are undoubtedly indicative of this. My daughter graduated AIS International school in 2019, went on to study in the Spanish Baccalaureate system, and then elected to do a semester in a German school in Munich to enrich the German she had learned at AIS. She then returned to the U. S, completing a successful year under an Ivy League university, Cornell University, before transferring to Texas Tech University to pursue her passion for barrel racing. There, she is on the rodeo team and made the honorary Dean’s List while pursuing a degree in pre-veterinary medicine.
My son will graduate from AIS International School this year, complete IGCSE, and return to the U. S.to finish high school. He, like my daughter, is fortunate to have options for his next educational undertaking, all because of his studies at AIS International. He could choose to stay in the British curriculum or complete the Spanish Baccalaureate. I do not doubt that his success will soon parallel his sister’s.
I have only touched upon academics here, but students gain so much more from this school. The physical activity, art and music also had a strong influence on my children. Additionally, because students come from all over the world, valuable insight into so many cultures is gained from their daily interactions with one another, with kindness, compassion, and mindfulness being integrated. More importantly, I cannot leave out the lifelong friendships that my son and daughter have made, and for me as well. The bonds I developed with so many of the parents and teachers will always be treasured.
Truly, I could not have given my children a more well-rounded holistic education in such a safe environment. The gratitude I have for Anja Traub, Founder and Headteacher, and the entire AIS International School team for their dedication and support is immeasurable.

Un colegio diferente a los convencionales. Mis hijas fueron felices aquí y recibieron una óptima formación.

Tras casi un curso con nuestro hijo estudiando en este colegio, debo decir que estamos contentos. El entorno es maravilloso, hay grupos reducidos y el equipo de profesores es muy profesional. El enfoque Waldorf Steiner no es estricto, pero se nota en todos los aspectos. Diría que así es casi mejor, mas flexible. Nuestro hijo es feliz yendo al colegio, cosa que antes no ocurría. De momento no tenemos queja, ¡y espero que siga así!

No lo recomiendo para nada. Lo único que buscan es hacer negocio. La experiencia de traer a mi hijo aquí ha sido horrible. Mucho Waldorf, pero nada de valores ni de humanidad.
Nos mudamos a posta de ciudad para traer a nuestro hijo aquí y se han comportado fatal con nosotros y en especial con él.
No perdáis vuestro tiempo ni tampoco vuestro dinero. Yo casi pierdo hasta la salud de tantos disgustos.

No traigais a vuestros hijos a este colegio.
Mi hijo llevaba dos años sufriendo un bulling horrible y Anja, la directora del centro, no nos ayudó absolutamente en nada. Nos dió la espalda, literalmente. No quiso, ni siquiera, hablar con los padres de los niños implicados en ningún momento.
Hemos tenido que sacar a nuestro hijo de aquí sin acabar el curso escolar. Y me consta que algo parecido ha hecho con más padres, los cuales también sacarán a sus hijos para el siguiente curso. Es una vergüenza.
No hay ningun respeto, ni tampoco ninguna autoridad.
No es un colegio bilingue, ya que más de la mitad de asignaturas son en Español. A demás, el bachillerato pende de un hilo, ya que la mayoría los niños se van, de hecho han tenido que subir las cuotas por este mismo motivo. Es una estafa.
Metí a mi hijo aquí, aún sabiendo que este centro apenas tenía nivel academico, porque lo único que quería era que fuera feliz y no se sintiera presionado, ahora está depresivo y yendo al psicólogo para superar todo lo que ha pasado.
Lástima que haya esta horrible gestión, porque el colegio tiene mucho potencial por su ubicación. Es lo único bueno que tiene, os lo aseguro.

AIS follows the British National Curriculum complemented by a Steiner Waldorf perspective and Mindfulness practices. Children have the opportunity to learn in an outstanding natural setting where their day is intertwined with outdoor activities. My kids enjoy going to school and they have learned English in no time.

The surroundings are beautiful. However the curriculum is at least 2 years behind the British curriculum. My 12 year old daughter constantly commented how she already learned this back in London. A whole year in the school she hasn't learned anything new. Also my daughter used to go to Steiner school in London and I can safely say that AIS does not resemble Steiner influence in any way whatsoever.
The school administration is a complete shambles! The lady in the office, Suzana is highly unprofessional and incompetent person who is unable to take resposnibility for her own mistakes. I had a request to change my bank account for direct debit payments and Suzana was unable to set it up. It took over 12 emails back and forth, and only when I requested a complaint form, miraculously the very next day my direct debit got set up! However the returned payment generated charges from the bank. Upon us leaving, the school deducted $20 euros from my deposit - no indication what it was for. I had to chase them to ask why they deducted money. I was told by the same lady, Suzana, that it was for the bank charges. The bank charges generated because she wasn't able to set up a simple direct debit. So essentially I paid for their incompetence! And not to mention the stress and time I had to spend with this lady emailing back and forth and not getting anywhere. Also had to wait over 3 months for the return of said deposit and even then I had to remind them to pay it into my bank account. This is not the way to run administration!
If you want your child to attend a playground, then this school is fine. If your child needs to learn, probably not the best. If you want peace of mind, just hope that there is nothing you need to discuss with the highly incompetent finance lady.
