Black Chicken

Love the Black Chicken. Excellent staff, Karaoke, customers and to top it all the cheapest drinks in Benidorm. What's not to like.

Everytime we are on holiday in Benidorm we visit The Black Chicken. This is a very down to earth karaoke bar with friendly staff and cheap drinks. For example, two gin and tonics cost 4.50€. The bar is very popular (often there is standing room only) with all age groups. Each time we have visited we have had an incredible time, meeting some lovely people. There is a large outside terrace, a DJ booth and plenty of seating inside. The tiled floors are cleaned regularly and the bar is appropriately decorated with chickens.

Each night Frank Gallagher (David Threlfall) from the TV series Shameless is the resident DJ. He is a fantastic host and David has a great rapport with the audience and loves getting into the character of his alter ego 'Frank'. We would recommend The Black Chicken if you are looking for a fun bar.

Every time I go to Benidorm, this is my first stop, and each year, it gets better.
Drinks are excellent, and so are the prices, and the karaoke is top-notch.

Fair priced drinks but on the night we wanted to do karaoke 24/02 it absolutely hummed of urine. Disappointed and won’t return

This is the best karaoke bar in benidorm although it's small inside everyone makes you feel welcome never has there been any issues whilst I've visited with drunken brawls great day/night out

Had a brilliant time in here, not very big can get a bit crowded but they have a large outside space, brilliant DJ, kareok, good beers, good atmosphere and free photo screen, really enjoyed.

Love this bar always go in when over in benidorm good music some very interesting people go in always busy

A bit out of the way and be careful not to be fooled by workers trying to get you into the bar 2 along from the black chicken, its compact and quite hot at busy times, but I found a spot near the aircon at end of bar or in the seated area outside, a decent karaoke bar with a good atmosphere

Drinks expensive, specially when a drinks board states 2 spirits for 4 euros and they ask for 10 euros for 2 wasn't sure how the math worked out.
No food served like they're used to be its basically just a bar that is actually quite grotty and not very clean looking, horrible loud karaoke to the point me and my partner couldn't hear us talking to each other I mean this is OK at night you expect it but this was 12 midday.
Just no chill we walked quite far to visit actually but won't make that mistake again, found so so many fantastic little bars and so many amazing places to eat and drink don't waste your time or money here!

Place was great fun, cheap drinks friendly staff great music, karaoke was good and the crowd was good.

Sadly the Carling lager was flat but we changed to San Miguel 2 bottles for 3 euros. The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere brilliant.
If they get the Carling poured right it would get the 5 stars.

This pub has drinks offers nearly every nite like 2 rum and cokes for €3.50 bargain. I would go back there.

Had a great few nights in here, not sure if Dave (the guy on the floor in my photos) was a turn or a massive karaoke fan but he was definitely enthusiastic for karaoke. Lol great drink prices and does get busy with it been a small bar, but great location.

Friendly staff. Great kareoke bar, reasonably priced drinks and they're happy to mix what few they don't know. Happy days place.

Absolutely perfect for an amazing Sunday roast and the drinks are very well priced. Not far off the main strip and definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly, welcoming and super nice.

Looks rough as toast but absolutely amazing when you get there. Good karaoke each night and a good selective of drinks too, definitely worth a trip

Went back here time and time again whilst in Benedorm great atmosphere, cracking laugh, would live in there if they’d let me

It was very busy in the afternoon for the karaoke. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves and the prices were reasonable.

My buddy Birchy and I, go in here around 4pm onwards on a daily basis, (when we are out there, lol) and its normally buzzing with a superb atmosphere, full marks to those who have a go on the karaoke, (me too shy) and no matter who sings what, or how good, or bad they are, everyone joins in, including me from amongst the crowd.and then we stumble out in good spirits.

Drinks very reasonably priced, DJ great and has great banter with everyone, definitely worth a visit.

Can't wait to get back out there later this year as our trip (due out today 16.05.20) obviously got cancelled.

In the meantime, pop in and give it a try

Only refurbished maybe 2 years what a difference to a pub prices are great day and night karaoke all day until late ace

Great wee Karaoke bar, up a busy lane with loads of bars, reasonably priced drinks, always busy, but easy to move and bonus fpr the girlfriend they sell Strongbow Darks Fruits in this bar, would definitely recommend for a couple of drinks!

If you're going at night, DONT GO IN SOBER. And tie your laces tight. Don't take anything with you that you dont want to lose.

I had to step over an unconscious person to get into the place, and left with no trainers.

Overall, good place.

People say its rough but I don't think it's all that bad. Bar is small not much to choose from but still worthy of a few pints.

Brilliant little bar.excellent karaoke and the DJ got everyone involved. 2 for 1 on spirits.stayed in here for quite a few hours as it was so good.

What can I say you have 2 visit the black chicken when you go 2 Benidorm you can't go there and not a bit of an eye opener at times but your sure 2 have a good time

The Black Chicken, well wot can i say, its brilliant, Niel is second to none, hes fantastic on Kareoke, so good with the customers, you have got to visit the Black Chicken if you go to Benidorm,

Lively bar with cheap offers on beers and spirit's. No need to dress up here. Perfect place for people watching, especially the stag and hen groups. Karaoke throughout the day and night

Absolutely love this pub. Always go when I'm in Benidorm. Defo recommend for a good time, laugh & sing song

Horrible place but very cheap, cocktails were awful very sticky and messy people were very drunk and atmosphere was not great.

Great Bar in the afternoon, cheap n cheerful, decent prices and Karaoke all day n night. An eclectic mix of people to watch. Great fun, can get a bit raucous later on.

It's lost the magic since it's been renovated, but still a class place to have a good laugh, some bad karaoke and cheap beer.

Mental as anything

100% the place to be to get pissed. Awesome people watching, funny, challenging, great music, brilliant sound system if you sing (like me). As Nike. Say. Just do it
