Amazing! Having had new multi-focal lenses in both eyes I am delighted with the results. I no longer need to use glasses -for reading, computer, driving or distance. I had a wonderful experience here. I had eye surgery and felt extremely comfortable with my choice to have Dr. Ferrer do the surgery. The staff is wonderful. Dr. Ferrer is easy to talk with and very informative.

Dr Ferrer has an excellent reputation and so when I had a major emergency with my right eye (retina detachment) my regular doctor in Javea immediately made an appointment for me in Denia to be treated. However the clinic did not have time and told me that I could come mid day the next day. Because my situation got worse (i was 30 % blind after 24 hours) I contacted my regular doctor again and suggested him that I should go directly to a hospital in Alicante. He said no Ferrer is the best I will see to it that you are treated earlier than mid day. I arrived in the clinic at 9.30 in the morning and saw Mr Ferrer at 15.00 hrs in the afternoon. During my 6 hour wait my vision totally disappeared but his staff told me to sit down and stop pushing. Just before I went in for the consult the staff told me that he would not treat me that day anyway (because this is a specialized job done by highly trained surgeon something my doctor and I did not know) He asked me when I came in to tell me why I was convinced that I had a retina detachement? The symptoms were extremely clearly explained on the internet It took him less that 45 seconds to find out that I was right. He told me that luckily the yellow spot was still unharmed! And send to me to a hospital in Alicante the next day. The surgeon there looked at my eye as I came in, saw how serious it was and set the operation at 13.00 pm 5 hours earlier than planned. The operation went well but the retina was detached for more than 50 % including the yellow spot. It will take 6 months to see how much damage was inflicted.
MY Advice to Mr Ferrer: if patients come in with retina problems send them straight to the hospital you have no value to add! Instruct your staff that they should listen to patients in distress rather than treat them as ignorant nobodies,
A week ago a famous newspaper reporter in Holland wrote in his column that he also had a retina problem when he woke up, was at his doctor at 9.30 and operated upon the same day at 3 pm. He applauded the doctors, what a difference 5 hrs vs. 2,5 days! (I am a Dutch man 68 yrs old)
