Costa Med Osteopaths

I was dealing with Russell on a neck and shoulder issue when suddenly found myself being rushed by ambulance to Torrejieva Hospital in late January 2022 after vomiting blood.
Was about 2 days before I woke up, I then spent 14days in bed not allowed to move. Was sent home by ambulance complete with bag and unable to walk, a terrible sensation. I had some appointments booked with Russell who we contacted to explain what had happened. As usual Russell was very positive and told us to contact him when I felt up to it.
So, in late February we contacted Russell to tell him that I would like to see what we could do. It was agreed that very kindly Russell would do a house call to do an evaluation. So, I could not stand or walk and had no confidence whatsoever, however Russell set up a simple regime of exercises I could do while seated was started. As the weeks went on exercises increased and there was some amusement as I did what I felt was enough, wrong, then there was Russell’s target just pushing me a bit further.
So next milestone was being able to stand unaided and then walking a few steps behind a wheelchair. This continued to increase in mobility, and confidence, all the time working with Russell during his weekly home visits. This culminated on Friday 6th of May, when Russell wanted me to go out in public, so we went to Campoamor Golf Club for a coffee. Quite an experience to be out and about, and to realise that my confidence was returning, still work to do but I will get there in time.
Can only say without all the help, and encouragement, from Russell I would be sitting in a wheelchair

I am Colin’s wife Lynn and although both of us and all my family including our grandchildren have visited Russell with successful treatment, I have had ongoing treatment for many years - he keeps me mobile with a monthly visit for my chronic arthritis. Three weeks ago I started having excruciating pain in my arm, I could t put it in any position to give me relief.unfortunately I decided to leave it for a week until my normal appointment date. Which was pretty stupid. It turned out to be a trapped nerve in my neck. I have had only two appointments with him - one yesterday and today unbelievably I am mostly back to normal, which is such a relief although I will still be returning next week for a further follow up. I honestly don’t know what I would do without Russell - he carried out all my physio following my knee replacement 15 months ago. So much more gentle than normal physio. I can’t recommend Russell and Sonja enough. If there were 10 stars to recommend I would give them 11. Thank you so very much Russell.

Booked in at very short notice with Sonja for lower back pain. Absolutely excellent. Explained every movement she was making. First session helped immediately although little sore but can feel the improvement in posture already. Booked in again for ongoing treatment. Would highly recommend this lovely place and person

I am happy to report that 99% of my sciatic pain has been relieved. The throbbing leg pain I had occurred after, walking a short distance. I tried many different approaches from regular doctors to creams, acupuncture and everything in between. In the end it was necessary to be consistent with the sessions and at home, doing the assigned stretching exercises and taking of recommended supplements. Eventually there was an improvement, and now 99% of the pain is gone. Thanks very much to Russell for everything.

Russell is one great guy, I was recommended to him by a friend and from day 1 he was professional, and very informative. I was in complete agony, I couldn’t sit, stand for long or walk with sciatica, after a few visits I am back to full fitness Thankyou so much Russell.

Having suffered for 2 years with neck and shoulder pain and constant trips to the doctors and 30 sessions of the physiotherapy later I was at breaking point. That's when I discover Russell and Sonia from Costa Med Osteopaths and after only 4 sessions I feel a completely different person.

I can highly recommend Russell. I have been treated by him for various back, and neck issues for a period of over ten years on and off as have my Parents and Husband. Sonia has also treated my Mum in the past with positive results.

Not only is Russel a talented professional but he’s also a lovely person. I visited Russel after severely hurting my neck on holiday, he was able to fit me in (twice) at short notice and did a great job of treating and advising me plus gently opening up my mind to some big life changes. Three months on I feel great and hopefully my life changes will reduce the chances of me having that problem again.
