El sábado por la noche todos tuvimos una excelente calidad y cantidad de platos de cordero, pollo y gambas. Servicio muy eficiente y agradable como siempre. ¡Definitivamente vamos a volver!

Definitivamente no es el encantador restaurante que era. La calidad de la comida, aunque aceptable, no era nada especial, el servicio y el pedido correcto fueron muy pobres. El personal parece haber perdido interés y se nota en todos los frentes. En general salimos decepcionados.

Mítico hindú en pleno casco antiguo de Altea y su fama está totalmente justificada.
Sin duda uno de los mejores hindús que he probado. Todos los platos te transportan a la India junto con su cerveza originaria de allí.
Su personal muy simpático y atento, además las vistas desde la terraza son espectaculares

Pedí comida para llevar para entrega. Fue encantador. Sólo el pollo Tikka Masala estaba un poco picante. Llegó mediante entrega a tiempo. Conductor muy educado. Volvería a realizar el pedido con seguridad.

Lástima que este lugar ya no sea lo que solía ser, la comida es mala, el servicio es bueno, mejor comida, servicio, bienvenido a otro lugar. Esto solía ser genial, pero el propietario parece haber bajado el nivel. Mejores opciones en el pueblo y en la zona.

Porciones diminutas, larga espera, pésimo servicio, este es el peor indio de la zona, lástima que esté en mi puerta. Cuatro horas de espera por un curry que contenía 4 trozos de pollo.

Tuvimos una comida encantadora aquí esta noche. Los platos tienen un gran sabor, por un precio muy razonable. El anfitrión también es muy amable. ¡Recomendado!

Otra mala comida después de 4 años de ausencia (covid) Esperaba que hubiera vuelto a su estado habitual cuando comenzó a venir. Nadie en el restaurante, preguntó si el menú del día estaría justificado después de llegar tarde, dijo que sí, sin embargo, se le cobró el precio completo. Los entrantes están bien, mi comida principal fue Tikka Massala y no Patia, que pedí, no estoy seguro de cómo te equivocas en una comida cuando nadie más que nosotros. Creo que descartaremos este restaurante de ahora en adelante. Es revelador cuando no hay muchos en.hay indios mucho mejores.

El dueño parece haber perdido interés en su negocio. Comida preparada por un ex camarero y nada como lo que pedimos. Sobrecargado y propietario discutiendo sobre el precio. Después de 20 años no volveremos pronto. Muy decepcionado ya que esto era parte de nuestras vacaciones.

Buen tiempo de entrega, pero decepcionante calidad de la comida. Digo esto como un consumidor experimentado de la cocina del sur de Asia. Nuestra comida estaba en el 10-15% inferior de la comida "india" que he comido. El arroz con coco era bueno, al igual que los poppadoms, pero ahí es donde terminan los aspectos positivos. Los panes naan eran planos, blandos y blandos; no burbujeante, crujiente y pastoso como debería ser un buen naan. También pudimos saborear el sabor/amargor de la pasta de curry en dos de nuestros curries; el curry se prepara mejor con especias frescas, o si se usa una pasta, se requiere un tiempo de cocción muy largo para eliminar el amargor. El plato de "pollo" parecía contener pavo, ya que ciertamente había algunas piezas que tenían la textura fibrosa más gruesa y crujiente que se esperaba del pavo (o pollo mal descongelado). No volveremos a visitar este lugar.

Very upset no card machine and didn't tell us till wecome to pay could of said on the phone when we booked.

Authentic Indian cuisine! Lovely experience and they offer a take away service option also, not that we needed it because the food was so nice we finished it all.

Expensive - take-away prices same as restaurant. Quality of food seems to have dipped over the years, a shame.

Tasty food, great attention by the owner, outstanding presentation of the dishes (with typical plates and utensils of India), good balance between price-quality, recommended to vegetarians, people who like spicy food, and not so spicy too. We will repeat if we can!

Sadly a very poor experience. Two Biryani's lots of rice, little meat and not a vegetable in sight. Don't like giving bad reviews, but sometimes it feels necessary.

Increíble. Me gustó tanto el sitio como la localización, comida, servicio.de esos sitios que oyes que son buenos y es totalmente cierto. Merece la pena la visita.

Really tasty Indian food. Fantastic service, and they pop in a free bottle of wine or free poppadoms every few orders (delivery option). Best Indian food in the area.

Experiencia altamente recomendable, colores y sabores vibrantes aromas profundos y calidad en cuanto a la materia prima. Somos muy bien recibidos por el personal además el propietario del restaurante se solidariza con los sanitarios haciendo un importante descuento.

Me encanta este restaurante. La comida es excelente, el trato de 10, la relación calidad-precio de lo mejor en restaurante hindú que he probado. Os recomiendo el pollo tikki masala y los panes, aunque todo está buenísimo eso no falta en la mesa cada vez que voy

Draught beer is cheap & good bottles of wine are under €10!

Appalling service by their moody staff, literally called me a liar after bringing the wrong coffee

You can't beat the early bird offer they do here. Good selection of food, well cooked and what I love is that the food isn't oily as it can be at some Indian restaurants. Staff OK, quite friendly but reluctant to give the early bird menu unless you specifically ask.

Eaten here twice. Once with 3 of my daughters who love Indian food & who declared it was the best they'd ever tasted, & once with my hubby. On both occasions food was delicious & service was polite & friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Have eaten and have ordered takeaways from this restaurant on several occasions. There is nothing
special about this place, just a Indian restaurant that you would find on any High Street in any city in the world. The standard of the food and the service is what you would expect from a restaurant of this quality. I cannot find any reason to say anything bad about this place, if you like your food more on the very hot or spicy side the boys in the kitchens will cater to your needs. On think to mention is when ordering do not go over the top with side orders, as the portions come up on the larger side. (I HAVE NEVER BEEN ONE TO TURN DOWN A LARGE PORTION) so my friend tells me. So if you are looking for a nice place to eat and good service at a very low price for what it is, Crown of India is the place for you. Spot on for Indian food.

Food was good here. I went for the early bird special for €9.95 which is available between 1800 and 1930 and includes a small drink, starter, main and a choice of ice cream or coffee.

They have a lunch special too. I've included images of the menus here as they don't have a proper website. I think this is the case for many businesses in the area. They rely on Facebook or TripAdvisor which isn't a great way to promote what they offer.
