Cycling In The Sun at La Casa au Lilas Rosa

Semana fantástica, alojamiento precioso, ciclismo maravilloso, anfitrión increíble. Julie está en otra liga cuando se trata de anfitriona: cada detalle ha sido pensado en su alojamiento.
Pasamos una semana de ciclismo femenino con ella, por lo que Julie nos llevó a dar paseos, conscientes de nuestro nivel de experiencia en ciclismo.
Fue un momento absolutamente sensacional, tan bueno que todos volveremos el año que viene.
No solo ciclismo maravilloso, sino masajes transformadores con ventosas organizados para todos nosotros, excursiones a las cascadas de Las Fuentes, remo, natación en el mar, snorkel, almuerzos en cafeterías y una degustación de pádel. ¡Absolutamente brillante!
Lo recomiendo encarecidamente, reserve ahora antes de que se decepcione y se lo pierda.

Pasé cinco días encantadores y relajantes aquí con Julie y Nigel atendiendo a mi hijo. Muchas cosas que hacer localmente. Una gran base para andar en bicicleta también. ¡Recomendado!

INCREÍBLE lugar y anfitriones. Pasé cuatro días aquí con mis amigos en bicicleta por la increíble zona y luego regresé a la villa para relajarme con una cerveza en el jacuzzi, lo que realmente ayudó con la recuperación. Hermosas vistas, lugar muy limpio y cómodo. Nige y Julie no pudieron hacer más por nosotros.

We stayed here on our way through Spain. Lovely modern accommodation, super clean and well equipped. Had an excellent bight's sleep. Hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We will pass through again later in the year and look forward to staying a few extra days.

A FABULOUS week of ladies-only cycling. Thank you Julie and Nigel for your company, your wonderful hosting, your paella nights, jacuzzi and cava evenings and lastly your patience and enthusiasm. We have become proper cyclists and looking forward to our return trip next year!

The recently renovated house is extremely well situated with a great view.
I came to improve my English and cycle for a week with them, I can only recommend these two people who helped me to progress.

I enjoyed a week away with my friends at this villa and it was utterly amazing! The villa was spotless and modern with a great outdoor area. It is one of the best holiday destinations I have been on, and the hosts made it even better. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile was special. I would recommend this place to absolutely everyone as I’m sure everyone would enjoy staying there. A big thanks to Julie and Nigel for making this holiday absolutely superb!

Nous avons été accueillis dans ce lieu paradisiaque durant 1 semaine par des hôtes Julie et Nigel qui sont tout les deux extraordinaires et d’une extrême gentillesse. Les lieux sont biens adaptés pour un séjour de repos/détente farniente Nous avons fait de très belle randonnées devant des paysages magnifiques.
Côté confort et propreté il n’y a rien à dire tout est parfais. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine et du jacuzzi…. Ne changer rien tout est parfait!

Superb modern villa with everything you need including a pool overlooking the valley. We had a chartered boat followed by Paella in Moraira which was class, I’d 100% recommend this place for anyone who likes relaxing, however there is also loads of activities to do near by.

Hey, I went to Julie and Nigel's home for 1 week. I practiced padel, went to the beach, to the restaurant and walked with their dogs. Julie and Nigel are kind and so funny. I learned a lot about the english culture and language. Now I'm really motivated to continue English and to watch some movies in English. Their house is so so beautiful and the landscape is amazing. I hope come back next summer because this week was the best of my holidays. Thanks Julie and Nigel.

Je suis allée à la Casa au Lilas Rosa pour apprendre l’anglais. C’était un voyage incroyable, le cadre, la villa et l’accueil sont exceptionnels. J’ai pu découvrir une partie de ce pays grâce à un grand nombre d’activités et surtout grâce à la gentillesse de Julie et Nigel.
C’était un super voyage et j’espère y retourner l’année prochaine.

I went to Casa au Lilas Rosa to learn English. It was an amazing trip, the landscape, the villa and the hospitality are exceptional. I was able to discover a part of this country thanks to a lot of activities and especially thanks to the kindness of Julie and Nigel.
It was a fruitful trip and I hope I would be able to go back soon.

Je suis venue chez Julie et Nigel pour apprendre l'anglais, ce fut un plaisir d'apprendre dans un cadre aussi joli et à leurs côtés, ce sont des personnes incroyables avec un grand cœur. Julie et Nigel m'ont accueillie comme un membre de leur famille, ce qui m'a permis de passer deux semaines inoubliables rythmées par de nombreuses activités superbes!
Lors de mon séjour il y avait des cyclistes anglais présents, je trouve que c'est un superbe concept cela m'a permis d'améliorer plus vite mon anglais.
Je vous recommande fortement.
J'ai hâte d'y retourner prochainement!

6.30am. Alarm went off. The only reason I'd wake up this early would be to travel, and travel I did. My friend, Jamie, and I were heading to Spain for a cycling training camp and where better to stay than Casa au Lilas Rosa with Julie & Nigel?

Once we arrived in the afternoon, Nigel was waiting for us at Alicante airport and swiftly loaded our bike boxes into the van and chauffeured us straight to the villa in Benimarco. On the way back he was kind enough to drop into the local consum so we could grab some essentials such as pasta, eggs and beer!

We stayed in the downstairs of the building in a very clean and tidy room which stayed cool overnight and was a perfect place to chill out in the hot of the day. The kitchen was well kitted out with everything a cyclist could need to prepare meals and each guest room had its own private bathroom.

Outside we had a sensational swimming pool, a relaxing jacuzzi and the brillant company of four playful dogs and one mysterious cat.

Most of our days were spent out on the bikes, climbing all the well known cols in the area and ticking off the hours on the bike. We had access to a garage at the bottom of the casa which was perfect for the bikes and had all the necessities such as energy drinks and a pump.

One of my favourite highlights staying in the casa was the hospitality and the food. Rather than a chore, dinner time (or supper if you're Nigel) felt like an occasion every day. We had a BBQ, pizza, rissotto, spinach pasta and so many wondeful meals. Personally, it was a chance to try new meals and new foods and the table chat was always a good laugh.

Alongside us cyclists, there were English language learners from France who were visiting which I found really interesting and to see how well they progressed in such a short space of time with their English is testament to Julies teaching methods. I definitely learnt some Cumbrian words from Nigel atleast.

It was such a shame to go home at the end of the trip as we left on a Wednesday evening after spending 11 days at the casa. We had a chauffeur back to Alicante and made our way back to the UK.

I would recommend any cyclists or language learners to visit the casa after experiencing first hand how well equipped Julie and Nigel are to cater to all groups of people.

What a fantastic place to stay the views just perfect, and what great couple. If you love cycling this is a perfect base. Multilingual Julie and Nigel have extensive local knowledge best cycle routes, coffee stops and restaurants. I plan to return with several friends.

Excellent place if you love your cycling! Julie and Nige couldn't do enough for you and are so friendly and enthusiastic.
The accommodation is recently renovated and lovely and clean and never slept in a bed so comfy! Has a great pool area and situated in a great place to go and hit some hills.
Will defo be back.

Estuvimos 4 días allí mi familia, una gran experiencia sin lugar a dudas, los propietarios son gente muy atenta, amable y educada, la casa está completa, tiene de todo, múltiples utensilios de cocina, electrodomésticos etc.
Un gran punto a favor es que permiten que lleves a tu mascota contigo, la verdad que mi perro fué el que mejor se lo pasó!
La casa está ubicada en un ambiente tranquilo y con muy buenas vistas, sin dudas un buen lugar para tomar un punto de desconexión.

No cabe duda que volveremos a repetir la experiencia en esta casa.

J’ai passé 7 jours fabuleux dans cette région faite pour les cyclistes: soleil, petites routes tranquilles, montagnes, respect des automobilistes. Je suis revenu enchanté par cette région.
Pour couronner le tout, Julie et Nigel sont adorables. Vous êtes accueilli comme un membre de leur famille dans un appartement juste parfait. Il a été refait à neuf, possède toutes les commodités et avec une terrasse magnifique. Je n’ai qu’une envie, c’est d’y retourner.

A great place with fantastic hosts, Julie and Nigel are enthusiastic and friendly and have fantastic knowledge of the local area. The accommodation is newly renovated, clean and tidy, and pool area is a real sun trap with stunning views. Spent an amazing week cycling and can't wait to come back.

Brilliant place for cycling or a family holiday. Friendly people and place is very clean and well furnished. Would different recommend this place for a stay away.

What a fantastic spot! Outstanding beauty, great cycling, top food, sun, easy transfers from Alicante and felt so welcomed by Julie and Nigel. Looks like there will be good climbing, running and watersports in the area too. Highly recommend it!

We recently stayed here at Casa Au Lilas Rosa and found the whole process from booking to the stay itself very straight forward, even with the covid restrictions. Getting picked up from the airport and taken straight there was fab. The Villa had everything we needed from pots and pans to pool and peacefulness! The place was spotless and the attention to detail was second to none. An added bonus was picking oranges from the tree, juicing them to make our own fresh orange juice. During our short stay we had an afternoon in Moraira where we found some lovely little cafe bars and a cool restaurant where we had a delicious meal for supper. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone & we will be back.
