Llevaban "tratándome" en la seguridad social con un tratamiento que no me daba resultados. En una consulta del Dr. Fiestas, el doctor me dijo lo que tenía, me hizo las pruebas pertinentes para descartar problemas graves y encima fue super atento.

Merece la pena ir, se lo he recomendado a todas mis amigas y conocidas que buscan un ginecólogo en la zona. Desde entonces solo acudo a él.

Mi experiencia ha sido de 10 sobre 10!

I faced 3 issues with this doctor (that I'm sure he is struggling to realise).

Issue 1. First time I go to see this doctor, I keep being interrupted as I try to explain things. I actually had to ask him at one point if I could finish my sentence for him to realize he was constantly interupting me.
And then at some point during the consultation when we were discussing myself, he said 'you should have told me that before' - I laughed and answered "well I tried to but you kept interupting me, remember? ".
But I guess it's the norm there because his assistant was the same.

Consultation wise, he knows what he is doing and was apologetic when he had trouble getting my blood because my veins are so thin. He commented during the scan of my baby which I appreciate.

Issue 2. When i was hurt at some point during the consultation (because of my endometriosis) he said 'putting a speculum doesnt hurt' - I dont accept that from a doctor because it is my body, I'm the one feeling things, not them, so if I say I'm hurt, I'm not being soft, I'm just hurt. So I'm happy I didnt let him have the last say in this because to me if a patient is hurt, the doctor should listen and beleive them. It's not just about whay you know happens in 90% of the cases as a doctor, it's also about what the current patient feels.

Issue 3. Finally, they wanted me to pay an extra 60e because i had to come back 2 weeks later to get my blood results, which is apparently a consultation. I paid 100 for consultation and then 75 for the blood work (understandable). When I emailed to ask why another 60 euros was added to the bill and that I would just like to retrieve my results and leave, he sat me in his office and told me "this is how it works in Spain, and that this is not Africa" (i am black). He also told me i am "not allowed to discuss money with him". I totally disagree with it because in Madrid (which is in Spain), Barcelona (which is in spain) and valencia (which is in Spain), where I have been to see other doctors before, i did not experience the same. They will willingly send you the results by email and send you a prescription if something is needed. I ended up not paying the extra 60.
Moreover, I had to wait 2 weeks for results, that could mean my baby's life is threatened (toxoplasmosis). This is very odd and unusual to me. I asked other medical practices (the local lab of javea for example) and they said normal waiting time is 3 days max - but let's say that's not on the doctor, that's a lab issue.
Anyways, happy I was given my results as requested and wished each other the best.

Also a general information. Africa is not a country it's a continent.

2 starts for the trouble and sympathy whilstvtaking my blood + the commenti ng during the baby's scan.

My wife did not enjoy her experience here. When we questioned the costs associated to the consultations, he was very rude. We were told on the phone there would a fix price of 100. We then paid an extra 75 for blood tests (normal) and then were told there would be a supplement of 60 when we get the results in the office. The Dr.was very patronising and gave us a long speech when we came for the results, saying "you can discuss the baby, your body, the colour of hair of the baby etc, but never discuss money with me. This is spain, not Africa (my wife is black), this is not canada (i am canadian) and this is not paris (we live in paris 50% of the year). " I find that to be quite pathetic to speak to your patients like that. He also thought it was necessary to continuously refer to my wife by her first name and last name all the time throughout the speech. When we left and closed the door, we heard laughing in the office as we were waiting for the elevator, not sure if that was somehow related to us, but still i think its worth adding to this review.

Por fin ya he encontrado un buen ginecólogo! Es un doctor muy atento a la escucha de dudas que puedan surgir, muy cercano y simpático. Muy contenta, lo recomiendo! Un puntito negativo; si no tiene seguro privado, a la hora de pagar tiene que ser en efectivo no se puede pagar con la tarjeta.

Muy buen ginecólogo. Es una persona atenta y muy agradable. En todo momento ha estado atento a mis necesidades, adaptando el tratamiento a mis circunstancias. Sin duda alguna lo recomiendo.

Ein sehr professioneller und einfuehlsamer Frauenarzt. Er nimmt sich für die Probleme viel Zeit.

Un gran profesional, amable y cercano. La asistencia ha sido muy satisfactoria, muy recomendable.

Trato aceptable, pero el tiempo de espera pese a tener una cita concertada ha sido siempre superior a una hora.
