The characitures in the museum are the winning "dolls" each year's Festival of Fire.
The people of Valencia and also Alicante work on these all year long and then place them throughout the city during the festival in June each year. Only the winning entry is put in the museum, the others are all burned in a giant bonfires. Then the residents start again for next year.
