Altamente recomendado! Gracias por tan excelente experiencia!
What an excellent class. Not only did I learn about the making of the original paella, it was taught with style, wit and joy. Jose was a great explainer and sangria flowed. What a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. I highly recommend this class
Exceeded our expectations! The whole experience - from the shopping in the market hall to chatting with the chefs/guides and cooking the paella - was just amazing. Not only did we learn a looot about Valencian cuisine (did you for example know that usually you eat Paella for lunch and not dinner? … neither did we), but also we felt so welcomed by Jordi, Joel and Anna. All of them did a great job and you could tell that they are passionate about what they do. We listened to music, had goood sangria, some nice tapas and most of all: lots of fun. The food was amazing, but all in all it was the whole experience that we‘ll remember. Thank you @team „my first paella“, it was definitely the highlight of our trip! ️
What an amazing experience! Our chefs, Jordan and Jose were adorable and very accomplished paella masters! The entire experience was perfect…. The brief tour of the market, the lovely cooking facilities, the tapas and sangria were delicious and the paella we prepared was 1000X better than anything we ordered in a restaurant anywhere in Spain. This was a highlight of our trip! Don’t miss this wonderful experience!
Just had an amazing experience at My First Paella. The chefs/instructors were awesome. The ingredients were fresh from the market and the Paella was amazing. Thanks for a great day.
Very wonderful class and experience with interesting storytelling from chefs. The teachers were kind and funny, telling us about the history of the food, market, and paella. I highly recommend this if you're a first time visitor or just want to learn new skill!
What a great experience! We enjoyed the workshop, learned a lot, the Chefs are amazing, the Sangria added much fun, amazing Tapas in the beginning. We left happy, full of knowledge, and a bit drunk. Anna and Gordi - the Chefs made it all. They have sense of humor, great way how to tech everyone at once. Thank you so much!
My First Paella is a MUST when visiting Valencia. We met outside of Mercat de Russafa so we could go in and grab our ingredients. The market was a little busy but it was such a cool place with super fresh food. We had a 10 minute walk over to the studio. We washed up, had some drinks and tapas and then got to cooking. We were a party of 8 who made seafood paella and had the best time doing it. The staff brings the BEST vibes. They are upbeat, charasmatic and helped us make delicious paella. Drinks were flowing throughout the class but don't forget to save room for dessert. Gracias Jordy, Jose, Romina and Jose for making our family feel so welcomed. You guys were the absolute best and we hope others get to experience how wonderful this class is.
We had a fantastic experience at the My First Paella class. Jordi, Ana, and José were so knowledgeable and patient, giving us one of the best experience we’ve had in Spain. The class was excellent, and the food ended up tasting delicious. They took great care of us, giving us Sangria, coffee, and tapas in addition to the Paella. We do wish we were able to pay with a credit card when we wanted to buy commemorative aprons and spices. Overall, it was such an amazing time. ¡Gracias, Jordi, Ana, y José!
We loved spending time learning how to cook paella here. We booked the morning session so it included a trip to the local market to buy ingredients. The chefs were so friendly and helpful, the tapas and drinks were lovely, and the finale of the paella we had cooked was wonderful. A great way to spend a few hours in Valencia!
Great experience highly recommended Ana the host is very positive and energetic The whole team (total of 3 including Chef Jordi) were very generous and helpful They speak good english We went to the market then went to the cooking class which is 8 mins walking The chef was there with tapas (cheese, ham and mussels and olives) and we learned how to make Sangria We then started cooking the paella We were total of 17 people (including 2 kids) and we were split into 2 groups so everyone had a chance to interact We then ate our paella and had dessert Drinks are also served Total of 3.5 hours Highly recommended
Book this experience. If you're in Valencia & you like paella this is a great thing to do. You meet at the market to buy all the ingredients first & then you go back to a restaurant to cook the paella. Its a group effort & the instructors are so friendly & knowledgeable. Once the paella is cooked you sit down to eat it but before that there are tapas & sangira to drink finished off with dessert & coffee. Seriously whats not to like. Its also a lovely way to meet new people. Would definitely recommend:)
We had a fantastic time at My First Paella experience. They served us several tapas while we sipped some lovely Sangria. We helped cook a delicious seafood paella. Dessert and drinks were also included with the class. They made the best Sangria I have ever tasted. It was so fun to help cook the paella, we learned so much about how to make this delicious meal. The chefs and guides were so friendly, knowledgable and fun. We had fun meeting other tourists from various countries. This was one of our favorite activities we did in Valencia and highly recommend it.
It was a great please being here. First you buy the stuff at the local market with nice storytelling and after that you are cooking paella together. Awesome Event.
Gentili e professionali, clima familiare. Un esperienza che tutti dovrebbero fare a Valencia! Unica, diverso dal solito e non la solita esperienza. Consiglio
The best cooking experience in my life! Super friendly people with such a positive energy and crazines. If you are the food lover you should delifinetelly go there!
Fué un dia super divertido y interessante. Lo chicos lo han organizado todo muy bien y se le nota la passión por lo que hacen. La comida super rica. It is absolutely recommendable! Gracias por la super experiencia
I am from the United States, and I have spent the last three months traveling around Europe with a school group. We have been to Iceland, England, Scotland, Italy, and, now, Spain. Out of all the experiences I have had (all the restaurants I’ve been to, all the tours I’ve been guided through), perhaps the most authentic, joy-filled, interactive time was spent at My First Paella. The gentlemen who ran the establishment were amazing to be around. Definitely recommend if you want to have a night filled with laughter, good food, and great community!:)
This was a completely wonderful experience. The level of energy from the chefs was magnificent. They ensure that you participate and help make the delicious paella your own. Lots of fun.
Great experience! First we bought fish and veggies on the local Mercat Razafa with Maria. She is a very enthusiastic person, with good stories about the neighbourhood, the market and the food. She and two other cooks helped making our first paella, which was great to do. But first we drank sangria and had some tapas, a good start of the workshop! The paella we made our own tasted wonderful and was accompanied by a good glass of white wine. The dessert and coffee made it a complete Spanish lunch. We enjoyed it very much and recommend My first paella to everyone who visits the beautiful town of Vakencia.
One of the best experiences I had while in Spain! My family, friends, and I raved about this class for hours afterwards! The experience itself with the energy of the people helping us cook the paella would have been worth what I paid for without even eating the food (that was delicious). 10/10 recommend. Amazing staff.
You're in Spain, you bettah try paella and why not make it yoself, while you're at it. Jordi and the entire staff made the afternoon enjoyable, full of laughter and taught us how to make an ambrosia paella. Perfect!
Fui al taller para aprender a hacer sushi y me lo pasé muy bien. Muy buen trato por parte del personal y agradecer a Jordi su profesionalidad y atención. De 10. Lo recomiendo.
A different way to learn and enjoy Valencia and its culture. Great visit to the local market, and very friendly experience with Jordi. The paella was delicious!
My wife and I had an awesome time at this paella workshop. The chef, Jordi, pulled out all the stops and we had a lot of fun. We had a little tapas to start (patatas bravas that we cooked, plus manchego, parma ham, olives, and sangria) then cooked a seafood paella that was honestly better than any of the paellas we've had out at restaurants in Valencia. We would highly recommend checking this place out to anyone who is interested in cooking and dining!
Amazing experience! I didn't want to leave Spain without knowing how to prepare a traditional Valencian paella and this class was the absolute best! Everything was organized very professionally but at the same time I felt like I was cooking in a comfortable home environment.
We met at the market of Russafa and after a brief tour to buy the ingredients for our paella (included in the price) we headed back to the kitchen. They gave us an apron, served an aperitivo with very high quality local ingredients (and lots of sagria!) and we started to cook. I got followed step by step through the whole process, we chatted, laughed and had a great time. Finally we sat at the table to enjoy our freshly made paella, which was probably the best I've tried so far. They also offered us coffee, traditional liquors and a dessert of local oranges with brown sugar. For this price you really can't find anything better, I will remember this as one of the best experience I've made in Valencia.
The staff is very passionate about their job and you could really see the time and effort they put into every detail. I higly recommend it! As soon as I'll come back to Valencia I will book another class for sure!
I really enjoyed this experience, the staff was very friendly and you sure left the full and even a bit drunk: D the only thing negative I could mention is, that we werent asked to wash our hands before cooking, I think that should go without saying
What an amazing experience! Mary our guide is spectacular! First a super fun market experience. Then we learn how to make sangria and 3 kinds of paella. The food and wines were wonderful and most importantly we made new friends from around the world. If you are in Valencia this is a must stop!
What a great day! Mary and Ramón are so friendly and welcoming. They made the experience fun and engaging. It was great value with a trip to the market to buy our ingredients, making sangria on arrival while we shared plenty of tapas. We made seafood and Valencian paella with everyone involved in the process. We had a lovely group to share the experience with and Ramón and Mary vibed off everyone to enhance the experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn to make paella in a happy and social environment.
We had a great experience here! The teachers were so friendly and engaging. I really think it was a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to others
What a fantastic day! Our family group of four all enjoyed this day so much. Not only did we share the experience of shopping and cooking, we got to eat delicious Paella, share wine, tapas and Sangria with a small group of fellow travellers. Mary and Ramon were excellent hosts and teachers, providing much fun and enjoyment throughout the day. We learned a lot, ate a lot and laughed a lot. Perfect day.
What an amazing experience, the best we had in our nine weeks in Europe. Mary and Ramone where the best hosts, and taught us how to make the perfect paella. We had a large group and ramone had to make three different paella’s and did it so perfect. A trip to the market with Mary was such fun and then tapas, so many drinks (wine, snagria and sweet wine) included while you eat, drink and cook. We had a lovely group and had such fun, cannot recommend enough!
MUY DELICIOSO! SO FRIENDLY! GREAT EXPERIENCE! I LOVED EVERY PART OF THIS! DEFINITELY WORTH IT! MUST DO WHEN VISITING VALENCIA! Maria and Ramon are truly and genuinely AMAZING!
