The River Hostel

Hostal limpio, con ascensor y amplia cocina y comedor. Alquilan candados para los cajones debajo de la cama. Baños y aseos limpios en cada piso. La cama de arriba cruje al moverte, pero es soportable. Las cortinas junto a las camas brindan privacidad. Recomiendo este albergue. Puedes pedir el desayuno por una pequeña cantidad.

Hostal con muy buena ubicacion, precio muy bien por su ubicación. Literas comodas, privacidad, cajón para guardar la valija, lindas vistas desde los balcones.buenas instalaciones, limpio, cuidado.
Fácil de llegar

Realmente me encantó este albergue.está en una ubicación fantástica, las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado durante el verano, el baño está más o menos limpio y el tamaño de la cama es bastante bueno. Te dan café/té y agua gratis todo el día, lo cual es una ventaja. Tienen una cocina con nevera y horno, para que puedas cocinar un rato.
Una estrella menos porque encontré algunos cabellos en mi cama, por lo que no estaban muy bien limpios.

Hostel "The River", un lugar para pernoctar muy cerca del centro de Valencia España, 10 minutos caminando al centro histórico.
Rodeado de edificios antiguos con estrechos callejones.

Increíble albergue, excelente ubicación, habitaciones y camas limpias, seguras y cómodas, el personal es súper amable y servicial. ¡Altamente recomendado!

Bonito lugar. Tranquilo y cómodo. Solo cambiaría el tema de la ventilación. En verano hace mucho calor y es recomendable tener activado el aire acondicionado en zonas comunes. En habitación es más complicado. Si no envías un mensaje no lo activan y luego hay mensajes donde piden desactivarlo. Unos pasan más frío/calor q otros.

Nos han tratado muy bien el personal, te dan agua gratis las 24 horas del dia i cafe i te de 11 a 8 tambien gratis. Te recomiendan sitios donde ir o donde comer i ademas esta la opcion de hacer un tour por valencia gratis! Si vuelvo a valencia vuelvo sin duda

Este albergue está situado en una excelente zona de la ciudad y en un hermoso edificio antiguo. La arquitectura y el ambiente tienen mucho carácter. Amplios baños y excelentes comodidades. El personal siempre está sonriendo y el desayuno tiene una amplia variedad que incluye leche de soja. El personal es súper receptivo, amable y servicial en WhatsApp si surge algún problema ¡lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

I praise Alexandra for adding finesse and bringing a touch of uniqueness to the hostel. Making it worthwhile. She is a gem and a wonderful soul. Her voice is unique, and her smile always light up the establishment. Her weekly cooking including the Paella courses are outstanding.

My review

I stayed at The River Hostel twice in late 2021 to February 2022. It was an amazing hostel and I would highly recommend the building and the location to anyone new to Valencia. I was greeted with smiles and politeness, and this continued throughout my stay. My room was situated on the 1st floor, with easy access by the stairs and lift. The room was very good. Clean, modern, and had a nice view to the beautiful park over the city. I have no complaints about this hotel. The showers were excellent, and all the facilities were clean and modern. The bar and café located downstairs was always useful and needed. Breakfast is worth the price, and you can drink tea and coffee all day. There is a charming vibe to the hostel, and I'm glad more improvements are being made to drive the ratings even higher.

Excelente atención por parte del personal del hostel, siempre dispuestos y con mucha actitud para atender a los huéspedes.
En cuanto a ubicacion, se encuentra a solo unos minutos del centro y de la estacion de tren, imprescindible para quienes necesitan ir al aeropuerto. Literas amplias, cómodas y cuentan con box para guardar las pertenencias bajo llave. Desayuno opcional por las mañanas a un módico precio, maquinas expendedoras las 24hs, servicio de seguridad por las noches.
Con gusto regresare, muy recomendable

En mi piso había un grupo haciendo ruido hasta muy tarde y a pesar de las quejas con la recepción nadie hizo nada.

After the check in i get to the room where the smell was not supportable that i hade to change the room to find the same problem and when i asked for only girls room they ask me to pay i wanted to change the hostel to another location because of that so i demanded a refund and my request was denied after waiting till the second day for this response.what a travel.

Friendly & inclusive. Appreciated the free breakfast (gained by booking through river hostel website). Also the free evening food 2 or 3 times a week! Comfy bed, openable window, secure locker with padlock provided. Thanks!

This is nice "quiet" place to stay. I slept very well here, as the bed had side curtains, which stands out!

As I said "quiet", this place doesn't seemed having lot of people coming in. And also the setup was bit old fashioned, it was smelling paints, and bathrooms and toilets are not well maintained.

Muy buena ubicación, lugar tranquilo cerca del paseo que te lleva a la cuidad de las artes en 30 min a pie.
Cama cómoda, baños limpios el wiffi funciona muy bien en todo el hostel.
La chica de la recepción muy atenta.
Lo único el desayuno que se paga y ese día pues no repusieron el queso ni la leche, algo que debería ser fácil de mejorar.

I wouldn't stay here again. Nothing terrible happened except it was terribly boring for a hostel, much too large to feel any realistic charm, signs on all the doors saying if you talk after 22: 00, they will call the police on you. One morning woke up to a new sign on all the doors on my floor saying that there was a complaint the night before and that they would call the police if it happened again. Many large groups stay here but all of the ones I saw were middle aged people

Abierto en el 2013 goza de una excelente ubicación, en un área tranquila, junto al Palacio del Temple, frente a la pinacoteca de San Pío V y los jardines del real, en pleno casco histórico y a tan solo 7 minutos caminando de la catedral, los principales monumentos de la ciudad e infinidad de restaurantes. Limpio, amplio, cómodo, funcional, ameno, original. Actualmente está cerrado por reformas y reabrirá seguro con agradables sorpresas.

Hostel is really nice. Good location, close to the Turia park and walking distance to the city center (cathedral). Staff is really nice and the breakfast is good. It's a really old building and that's why you hear every noise in the entire building, specially in the morning. I would recommend to stay here.

I have mixed feelings about this place.
The good: generally the staff are good. The breakfast was great. Location is great. The building itself is great, as is the kitchen and common areas.
The bad: idiots having full blown sex is a 12 person dorm. Staff weren't proactive in dealing with it as it was keeping everyone awake. The bathrooms and showers are a bit grubby but not disgusting.
Overall a nice hostel but I guess let down because it's just too big and some fellow guests are inconsiderate. As always, I met some great people.

it has been a long time since i've been into a hostel with a hostel feeling. The place is perfectly located. Inside this hostel has everything right, kitchen; common room, breakfast place, Showers, Rooms with beds with some kind of privacy and the staff is very sexy.it is the BOTBH. Best Of The Best Hostel i've ever been and the reason is there is a Hostel Feeling.i mean community feeling. And this is not in existence no more in many place.

Great place! Bar closes a little early and the showers don't spray very well (dip the tip in vinegar)

Reasonably good location, was there for La Tomantina, the staff weren't the most accommodating for the event (wouldn't hold keys, no early breakfast) but really nice hostel and met a lot of great people. Walking tour with Greg was great.

Sono stata in questo ostello 4 giorni e devo dire che ho solo commenti positivi. Dalla pulizia, ai ragazzi, agli spazi di condivisione. Anche la posizione è centralissima! Unica pecca.il condizionatore in camera tutta la notte. Da morire.

Amazing hostel with all the amenities, it's large, clean and quiet. Right by the park and easy walking distance to downtown.

Buena atención, limpieza y ubicación ideal, los baños y sobre todo las duchas algo anticuadas, pero por lo demás, muy aceptable.

This was my first experience in a hostel and it was a really great experience. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and speak many different languages. They offer free breakfast, free walking tours, bar crawls, paella cooking classes and free wifi. They have bike rentals and it's in a very good location that's within walking distance from everything that you'll want to see in Valencia. They have a washer and dryer so you can do your own laundry. But, they dont have air conditioning and they keep the windows open all night so it's fairly loud at night. The rooms are cleaned every day but make sure you check the locks on the drawers under the beds because a few of them dont lock properly. All in all a great first experience and I would definitely stay there again!

Great hostel, good communal areas, kitchen was a bit cramped but all that we needed. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Showers were okay. Location was excellent.
