Qué hermosa ciudad y qué suerte tuvimos de visitarla con nuestro guía, John. ¡Estuvo fantástico! Él y Sarah-Kate, propietaria de Valencia Private Tours, personalizaron un recorrido para nuestro grupo para que pudiéramos visitar todos los lugares que queríamos ver. Éramos un grupo de 11 personas y John logró llevarnos por la ciudad sin problemas y se aseguró de que viéramos todos los aspectos más destacados. Él estaba muy bien informado y fue muy servicial y cubrió mucho con nosotros en tan poco tiempo. ¡Incluso probamos la deliciosa bebida dulce valenciana, Horchata, y también un pastelito! Me alegro mucho de haber encontrado este recorrido personal en lugar de realizar la excursión en tierra a gran escala de nuestro crucero. ¡Gracias, John y Sarah-Kate, por vuestra hospitalidad!

Carlos nos brindó un recorrido privado excepcional por Valencia. Nos recogió en su hotel y nos presentó la mayoría de las atracciones principales. Valencia fue una parada en un crucero y solo tuvimos medio día para explorar. ¡Lo más destacado de Valencia fue el recorrido perfecto para nosotros!
Vincent, nuestro guía turístico, nació y creció en Valencia.eso fue una ventaja para nosotros, ¡tenía muchísimo conocimiento y nos llevó a todo tipo de lugares interesantes de la ciudad!
Visitamos el mercado local, probamos jamón local y horchata, que es una bebida típica de Valencia.
Caminamos por las calles de Valencia, visitamos un interesante museo arqueológico, entramos a una hermosa iglesia, visitamos el área de Artes y Ciencias antes de finalizar nuestro recorrido.
¡Toda la experiencia fue asombrosa!

Sonia was our guide at Valencia Private Tours, and my partner and I could not have had a better time getting to know the history and culture of this beautiful city. We had a four hour tour of Valencia booked and the time flew by as Sonia showed us the old city and its millennia-old transformation/development under Roman, Moorish and Christian rule. She also went above and beyond in providing us info on where to eat for the rest of our trip, what neighborhoods to visit and what makes the orxata in Valencia so delicious and authentic.:) Muchas gracias Sonia!

I highly recommend this tour group. Sonia was our personal guide for two days in Valencia. She was wonderful. She was energetic, knowledgeable, very nice and spoke English extremely well. She explained the history of Valencia in a thoughtful manner with great respect for it's background. We experienced food and drink through the tour. She brought us to her family's favorite paella restaurant to experience "real" Valencian paella. If we return for another visit to the South of Spain, we will certainly use this service and Sonia.

Our group spent a day long trip with you to L'albufera where paella originated, (rice paddies, a boat trip on the lagoon, local lunch) and a visit to the castle hilltop town of Xavita. Along the journey you summarized Spain’s rich history from prehistoric farming to its present day thriving democracy as only a gifted storyteller/historian can. As you said and all of us agreed Spain has to learn how to market its rich heritage better to the world. We were enthralled the whole time. Teníamos reservado un recorrido de cuatro horas por Valencia y el tiempo pasó volando mientras Sonia nos mostraba la ciudad vieja y su transformación/desarrollo milenario bajo el dominio romano, moro y cristiano. Nuestro grupo pasó un día de viaje con usted a L'albufera, donde se originó la paella (arrozales, un viaje en barco por la laguna, almuerzo local) y una visita a la ciudad de Xavita, en la cima de la colina del castillo. A lo largo del viaje, resumiste la rica historia de España, desde la agricultura prehistórica hasta su próspera democracia actual, como sólo un narrador/historiador talentoso puede hacerlo. I had the pleasure of traveling to Spain for work. With the extra few days I took I decided to book a private tour with Kate who owns Valencia Private Tours.

Let me tell you how surprised I was with the way everything was set up. Kate is the most wonderful person with an incredible personality. Her knowledge of Spain is absolutely incredible and I feel like I got extremely lucky to have had her as a tour guide. She did not let me miss any part of
the tour and what we were doing.

I 100% would recommend Kate to anyone traveling to Spain. It was an experience I would never forget and worth ever penny.

THE ONLY tour you must have if you visit Valencia! My husband and I take private tours in every city we go to and Sarah Kate was the BEST Ive ever had. Communication was great and she asked me about any needs or requests. I was traveling with my 26 yo daughter and she made it fun and lively for both of us. Kate knew we were foodies and brought us to some delicious local treats! She has a wonderful personality and so much knowledge to share. Her English is also perfect! 10/10 tour guide!

Sarah Kate is truly THE best tour guide I have ever had. She is truly so passionate, knowledgable, and fun. She brings history to life with her recounting and I was blown away by how much she knows, every single question was answered with such detail! Highly, highly recommend any and all tours with her company.

EXCEPTIONAL! The tour we had with Kate could not have been better. I am a seasoned world traveler and a former American expat who lived in Europe for 10 year and I have –never– had a better tour guide. Just as other reviewers have mentioned, personally Kate is warm, friendly, and vivacious. What I found to be singularly remarkable was her ability to make the history of the place come alive through the depth and breadth of her knowledge (she is a medieval historian and linguist) and her obvious love of Valencia in a way that was magical: I felt as if the ancient stones were telling their stories. In the little time we have left in Valencia we will make it a priority to book some of her other tours. If I could rate Kate with 10 stars, I would!

You can stop looking, you’ve found the best! She everything you want a tour guide to be! She’s insanely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and just plain fun to spend time with. Her energy is infectious. We did a tour with her and loved it so much we signed up for a second one. Both were amazing!

Professional, experienced and Kate´s attention to detail for each member of the group was very much appreciated.

We were a small group of 6. Parents, young children & grandparents. This was our first trip since COVID and we were more than a little anxious. Kate was very attentive and kept in contact the weeks leading up to our tour to make sure that everyone was comfortable with what was organized.

We were not an easy group with such age ranges etc, but Kate made it all seem effortless. My Spanish husband was able to find out things he´d never known before. My young children were entertained with fun history facts, games and exciting stories. My Dad is a history nerd and bombarded Kate with questions which she answered with enthusiasm and passion for her subject matter. I myself hate history, but I was hooked on the way Kate presented each place and I was sad when the tour was over!

Kate knew all the COVID restrictions and we felt perfectly safe in her hands. She had lunch booked (outside) at a restaurant that catered for everyone, young, old, veggie & coeliac.
We had THE BEST time in Valencia and have made a friend in Kate.
She was a like a family friend showing us her city.

Kate's tour was amazing. She is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She was responsive to our interests and designed a private tour to meet our family needs. We have a toddler and pre-teen and she was responsive to our needs as we navigated the day. She knew how to connect with everyone in the family. She made history fun for the kids and adults. It was great to have someone design a day of learning and fun while you get to enjoy your family. I could not recommend Kate more! We will be back and ask Kate to design another tour for us!

Valencia Private tours was an absolute pleasure. Very informative and comfortable. Our tour guide Sonia was "super" very accomodating and full of good energy. Kate the owner is very responsible and attentive always answering my emails. (and there were many). I recomend this tour to anyone interest in having a fun and interesting time in BEAUTIFUL VALENCIA!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kate. She obviously loves her adopted home. She took us places we would never have visited or known about. We especially liked visiting her village and having lunch at the wonderful restaurant she recommended. She is thorough and don't expect any quiet time during your tour. She also had a genuine interest in our lives which was refreshing. You will not be disappointed with Kate as your guide.

Kate took time to get to know each person individually and was always so kind to everyone! Energy was never lacking even through the pouring rain! Such a wonderful experience!

Kate was such an amazing tour guide and, in all honesty, the best tour guide I’ve ever had. We had a large group when we went to Spain and Portugal but she made time to get to know each and every one of us. During the entire trip, even when we faced problems or time crunches, she always had a good attitude and made the trip 100 times better.

She makes history fun and easy to remember. From the start, her mood brightened the group’s lazy mood from the flight and she made the trip warm and comfortable!

My husband and I booked a full day private tour with Kate. It was wonderful! We wanted to visit the areas of Jewish interest, so Kate suggested that we spend most of our time in the small city and Fort of Sagunto. She picked us up from the ship, and we traveled for about 40 minutes from Valencia to Sagunto. We learned so much about this area as we enjoyed the ride to Sagunto. Kate was very knowledgeable of the area and its history. Sagunto is a charming town. We visited many of the ruins which have some Jewish content-the rabbi's cemetery at the base of the fort, some Jewish artifacts at the Fort's museum. The visit reacquainted us with the history of the Roman, Moorish and Christian conquest of this area. We had a delightful walk through several areas of the town. We stopped for lunch at a charming bistro all the while learning about this area in present time and in the past.
We had time on our way back to Valencia to view some of this very modern city. Although Sagunto did not have as much Jewish content as we had hoped, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this tour to others.

Kate was a wonderful guide for us, a group of four in Valentia.
We were two senior couples who came over only to attend
Las Fallas Festival from 17 to 20 March 2019.
And Kate had prepared the arrangement for us in details long before our arrival, accomodating our needs & interests in accordance to our schedule.

A special arrangement awaited us at the airport. The pick-up was exceptional amazingly arranged: our executive mini bus managed to pass 4 barricades of police to bring us to our hotel in the inner city, despite all traffics were closed due to the Festival.

And Kate personally brought us to see the beautiful sites of Valentia and explained us everything about the Festival.
Then when we found crowds of people blocking our way, Kate, although she is small but agile and smart, cleverly outsmarted the crowds to let us pass and make a way for us. What a relief.

Kate is a great guide, professional and very insightful about the area and culture in Valencia and surroundings.
