Wow, How can I express what a wonderful experience this was. I have just finished the 5 day retreat at Denia at the authentic villa with a beautiful courtyard where we did yoga. We also went to a lovely hall which had been the dining room of a convent, on one or two cooler evenings. We were welcomed by Nichole and Gary who are the warmest most sincere of people. We had yoga that first evening and gradually went deeper each time, and with guidance from Nichole and Dionne, the other instructor, I was able to achieve a depth I didn’t think I could reach. I found the last morning session quite challenging, but felt I had really gone to the next level. I should add at this point that this retreat was made possible by my wonderful cousin Chris who has done it before and was for my 70th birthday. The final yoga session was restorative and was just the icing on the cake which brought a tremendous feeling of rejuvenation.
In addition to the Yoga, we had a 90 minute session from Gary on meditation, and then there were optional activities such as Stand-up paddle board yoga, hiking and bike riding. There were also massages, facials etc. The food at the Chamarel Hotel was delicious, nutritious and plentiful and we also had a supper out with all of us, and all in the beautiful setting of Denia on the Costa Blanca.
I must say again, that Nichole and Dionne gave us the highest level of instruction I could have hoped for although we were all at varying stages in our yoga. We also had a session on setting up our own yoga practise which was very helpful to take away. If I had to say anything negative, I honestly couldn’t find anything to say.

Great trip to the Pure Yoga retreat in Denia. A chance to try lots of yoga disciplines as well as meditation and the options to have treatments. You don’t have to be a super stretchy yogi to sign up to this break - tuition is great, group was mixed in terms of experience and non competitive. Time out for YOU and it’s all taken at the pace that you are comfortable with. Lovely hotel and denia is a great town - time for the beach, exploring and swimming. Recommend staying for a few days more to fully relax and read that book that you have been carrying around for a while! Book the holiday but don’t overpack - leave that hairdryer and those straighteners at home!

I attended Nicole and Gary's yoga retreat in Denia nearly three years ago and I still find myself talking about it. One of the most perfect balances between yoga and down time and amazing Ayurvedic meals. Beautiful and quaint accommodations will find you instantly relaxed. They make you feel welcome the minute you arrive and make for a truly unforgettable experience. I keep in touch with them and can't wait to visit again. They are extraordinary people who are passionate about what they do. There's no surprise why Yoga Breaks in Spain has been ranked in the Top Ten Yoga Holidays. You will not be disappointed. Five stars without a doubt!

Perfect venue, hosts and yoga:)
Yoga Breaks in Spain is the perfect holiday to disconnect with the day to day busyness and fully immerse in days of well-being that help you connect with yourself. I have been twice with them in Denia and once in Altea and will sure repeat in the future. The venue in Denia is a small charming family owned hotel in a quiet street. Every room is unique and the food served is beautiful and delicious. It has an inner patio where we were able to practice yoga during the warm days. For the less warm days (it's never really cold), there is a cosy studio with glass ceiling in the hotel.
Nicole and Gary feel you welcome from the very first day, which is something I truly valued specially the first time I visited, since I was travelling solo and hadn't before practised yoga. Their energy makes guest feel at ease and able to make the most of their stay. There is the perfect combination of organised activities (always optional) and free time.
All in all, the best gift that you could treat yourself to.
